Poke Bros. — Restaurant in Columbia

I really wanted to give this place a try. The last time I was in a Poke Bros was the location in 5 Points and I was really disgusted with the experience. The guy behind the counter was on his phone the entire time and never washed his hands or put on gloves to make my food. Fast forward a few months later to tonight and I decide to give this location a try. The guy behind the counter who took my order had me pay first (weird but not a big deal). He was nice but, when he went to make my food, he did not wash his hands or put gloves on. When I got home, the food was bland. The sauce was just kind of drizzled in the rice instead of being tossed with the fish and vegetables like at other poke places. I hate to slam a local business but, if the person who is handling money and cleaning in the front is also going to make the food, at the very least they should be washing their hands. At this price point, bland food and questionable hygiene is beyond...

We stumbled across this place while our intentions were to go to smoothie king which is a few doors down. There were no other customers when we arrived. So I felt I could ask questions about the food and informed them that this is our first time here . While asking the two servers they were hesitant to respond. After a very brief description they spoke to each in their language and started laughing. I responded be nice then they started recommending popular dishes. The environment was really nice and cozy. It seems to be a popular spot as customers were coming in and out. The food was really delicious and fresh. I love the options of vegan menu as well. I would really recommend this location. The strawberry-lemon twist green tea was delicious not over sweet. Everything was full of flavor. Oh and by the way … Mango peach twist…...

Today was my first time visiting this Poke Bros. The cashier taking my order was a bit on the rude side. I informed her I never been to Poke Bros and she started explaining stuff super fast pairing that with her wearing a mask and being behind a glass I couldn’t understand her. I asked some questions to clarify and she was condescending with her answers but I overlooked her because I wanted to try the food. I wish I walked out due to her attitude because the food was mediocre. I’m not sure if the food is suppose to be cold like it came fresh out of the fridge or not but I had to dig my avocados out of my food so I could warm it up some. The flavor of the sauce and the ginger was great but this experience definitely didn’t meet my standards of eating and I’d probably never return to see if things would be...
