Arrived on a Friday afternoon around 12pm. We found parking very close, there was parking within a 3 minute walk of restaurant, paid $1 to park for 1 hr and 20 minutes (this is necessary if you aren’t a local lol we came an hour away from Augusta and had no idea you have to pay to park around this area). Entering the restaurant, we were told about a 15 minute wait for a table but we could sit at the bar immediately. There was not a soul at the bar but as we sat, it filled up quickly. I’m not sure who the bartender/waiter was but he was a young, Asian man..he was AMAZING, I wish I would have gotten his name. He was attentive and quick, answered all my questions regarding the menu and made a HELL of a drink! We ordered the bulgogi kimchi fries as our appetizer, I would highly recommend these. If you unfamiliar with kimchi, it is a very sour yet spicy fermented cabbage. Mixed with the sweet bulgogi beef and topped with nacho cheese. OMG! So many flavors. Absolutely delicious. For our entrees, my bf ordered the soy garlic chicken wings w truffle fries and I ordered the spicy pork japchae (stretchy clear rice noodles w stir fried meat and veggies). I ordered this at the medium spice and it was perfect. My bf’s soy garlic wings were also very good, flavor was good and they were fried perfectly crispy! Overall, I’d give the food and service a 5 and I would definitely return when in this area. Smaller dining room so I can imagine it may be more of a wait at busier times but I would say this place is worth the wait! Also, I’d say this place is quite affordable. Three cocktails (one a double), one yuzu lemonade, one app and two entrees...

Read moreExcellent cocktail selection, and the food was good, but the bibimbap was a bit of a miss (and that dish is why we came in).
Let’s start with the highlights. I had the Golden lantern cocktail, and it was excellent. Well balanced and beautiful. I love that yuzu is entering the cocktail scene. My husband’s drink was good as well. We are huge bibimbap fans, and I ordered an extra egg, because I love it when the egg cooks on the heat of the clay pot. And I love it when the rice crisps up on the clay pot. But neither happened. Perhaps I’ve had a different type of bibimbap, but the rice did not get crispy at all. And the egg didn’t crisp up. The pot was just not hot enough. He also forgot my extra eggs, but he did come by with them later. The seafood was good, but overall it was just a bit underwhelming. I’m also accustomed to this dish being served with lots of little vegetable side dishes, including kimchi and potatoes and a variety of six or seven other vegetables in little dishes to mix in the pot. It did not come with those. So I guess this is just a different way of presenting bibimbap? But I have never had it served without all the little veggies and without it being served in a really scorching hot pot.
The server was nice. Even though the place was packed, they came to us fairly quickly. The bar was a little backed up, but not too bad. Overall it was a nice place, and I would return, but I would not order the bibimbap. The rest of the menu looks so intriguing that I would absolutely return to try...
