Asian Taste — Restaurant in Columbus

I started ordering from here because I work in the area. At first it was great! I was so happy to find another tasty Asian option. That was 7 months ago. in the most recent months it has gone down. I order the lunch specials and it is either too salty, oil or bland in flavor (salt is not flavor). I came on a weekend with my 2 children to see if it is a better quality outside of lunch, it was horrible. They ordered the lemon chicken it was batter fried and super greasy you could wring the oil out like water from a sponge. The chicken was over cooked on both plates and the lemon sauce was the worst. I scraped it out and tried to salvage but my kids wouldn't eat it. I also ordered for myself an item that I can not recall but it reminded me of canned Chinese food La Choy's. We had pot stickers as well, again not restaurant quality. 06/25/2024 I have been back many times since my last post and disappointingly tried other Chinese restaurants in town but, NONE are near to Asian Taste! I absolutely love this little place! It is all great!

12/18/2023 As you can probably tell by now this is my favorite Chinese joint! Today I had Mongolian chicken and beef and shrimp combination with fried rice, picture included! Absolutely delicious I've never had anything I didn't really care for here ever! Everything I try is fresh and delicious and just cook perfectly seasoned perfectly I just love this place!

11/06/2023 The dine in restaurant is back! What a difference! The carryout has been delicious for nearly 3 years, but today I ate fresh from the kitchen in the restaurant at a table! It was so good! Eating that fresh from the kitchen is so much better! I'm so glad they opened the restaurant again to seating.

This is one of the best Chinese places in Columbus.

There are a few veg options on the menu, but they can modify other dishes if you ask. Staff is very friendly, service is great.

Stand out dishes are the bean curd roll stuffed with mushrooms and the hot spicy tofu. The stuffed bean curd skin is a perfect symphony of salty and sweet, chewy, snappy, umami- I cannot get enough of it! The tofu is very crunchy, fresh and absolutely delicious, even if I would prefer a LOT more hot peppers.

Seasonal Chinese vegetables with garlic are always fresh and tasty; Mala green beans are good as well. Chinese vegetables with mushrooms have a great mushroom flavor but the sauce is way too sweet for me. The Szechuan eggplant is good but the sweetness level is too much for me. I think most others would be fine with it.

So happy to have such a great restaurant...
