I stopped at this location while on a road trip to grab a coffee. Full disclosure, it was about 4:30pm on a Sunday, not rush coffee hour. However, upon ordering a cup of black coffee, I was promptly told there would be a wait for that, which came with the an attitude from the cashier that seemed to be offended that I had the audacity to order just a cup of coffee. Didn't really care, just wanted coffee. I take my place in the waiting area, and watch at least a dozen people come in after me, order, and leave with their whipped/blended beverages. When it starts coming up on being half an hour that I've waiting for a cup of coffee, I ask if they're still working on it. I'm given a sharp response that "we're short staffed and you'll just need to be patient sir." I'm not special. I don't need special treatment. I'm not better than anyone else. But I can't comprehend how starbucks is allowed to get away with broadcasting to the world that they are a coffee house chain then create an environment where it's "inconvenient" for their employees to serve coffee on off peak hours. I stood for half an hour looking at their mural on the wall about the process of growing coffee beans. But they don't have coffee, the simplest product hey offer, ready at all times? This rant is the only solace I will get from the brain hemorrhage inducing experience I had at this location, but it is symptomatic of starbucks as a company. They are not at their core a coffee chain anymore, their primary product is selling you the idea and feeling of being in a trendy place. Your store is in a building in a strip mall parking lot in New Albany, Ohio...there is nothing cool about it. I stopped in for what should be your most reliable product, black coffee. And while I eventually got it, the 30 minutes it took to get it gave me the time to realize how disingenuous and unauthentic your company has become. I only gave my review 2 stars because the coffee I eventually got was pretty decent. If anyone has read to this point, I highly recommend you go across Highway 161 and patronize the Tim Horton's at 7400 Fodor Rd, New...
Read moreI have came to this Starbucks for over a year now, this Starbucks is 2 minutes from my house. I have multiple problems with the way the employees handle things. My first being when I would ask for extra they would charge me and not put the extra. My second is strawberry cold foam is more they would barely put any strawberry flavoring it would basically taste like vanilla. One time I came there and the almond milk taste like nail polish remover and I looked up why it would and it said because the milk was going bad I called the Starbucks to warn them and the manager Emily argued with me saying well I don’t know what to tell you because there is nothing bad on my end, Emily has been so disrespectful from the start I have went to 1000 Starbucks and been going to Starbucks since I was 10 years old and this is my first time ever making a bad review. They have new people in there trying to train them constantly because all they actually care about is their ego. The last encounter I had was with one of the baristas I asked for extra chi in my drink and I tasted it I knew it was wrong so I asked her to remake it she said you always have a problem, if I am spending over $200 a week at your location and I specifically tell you how to make my drink and you still make the drink how you want to make the drink why wouldn’t I say something? The manager at the time was new and he agreed because the lady that made the drink said she made it wrong. So I moved out of state and was visiting and went back there and ordered a new drink and emily said “we can no longer service you” while smiling then tried to argue with me saying I never moved ???? I don’t know why she is a manager but she is the biggest problem they have. I have called corporate many times, and now I will go higher up and report this. I think she is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. She is training her employees to be disrespectful and as you can see there are other people saying the same thing about this location they need major training not only on their drinks but their...
Read moreNo matter what time of day I come into the New Albany location each employee creates a excellent and miraculous experience for me. I am always greeted with so much joy and delight by each one of your employees, they are truly a DreamTeam ! Each employee is very knowledgeable about the menu items and they always provide me clear details of the individual ingredients.
Today when I came into the store, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm and personal cashier. He was able to take my order in a very efficient and quick manner and encourage me to enjoy my day. That is astounding, and these qualities are duplicated in each and every employee I have encountered.
I also was inspired today on the brand marketing strategies Joseph used to promote the Nitro Cold Brew. Two lovely employees displayed very neat sample trays of the Nitro Cold Brew and also two pastry samples. The customers appeared to be very impressed and satisfied with this excellent level of customer service. I also noted, that each employee was well informed on the properties of the Nitro Cold Brew, this created a seamless experience for me. I encourage you to try one!
Lastly, I wanted to mention that Joseph is an absolutely excellent manager. He always makes sure his employees are working to the best of their ability, and he sets the tone of the excellent customer service I receive. I am always excited when I get to visit the store, and my expectations are always exceedingly and abundantly above all I would hope, dream, or imagine a...
