BistrOH! — Restaurant in Columbus

I had a doctor's appointment at Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin, located at 6700 University Boulevard Dublin, OH 43016

OMG! Y'all I tried to ignore the aroma of something incredible to eat. I knew that I had to be in/out and hold my breath, if necessary. I definitely wasn't going to look in the direction of the smell.

I did it! I went directly to my doctor's appointment and back out the door without a problem.

BUT...

I turned around and went back inside and directly to the place where the food was. That heaven-sent aroma.

I've never been there. I didn't know what to order. I just asked, "what is THIS smell?" "What did you just make? I want THAT!"

I was told it was a grilled cheese made with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions and bacon with a little arugula on sourdough bread. It'll have a side salad with it as well.

Ordinarily, I'm very frugal. I MUST know the cost of everything, before I think it's too much and not worth it.

But not today! Cost wasn't a factor. In fact, I didn't even ask for the price. I just said, YES PLEASE!

BistrOH is a cafeteria in the OSU Medical center, near the entrance of Rhodes Hall, near the sanctuary at James. The good is that they have something for everyone, lots of vegetarian options, soup, salads, sandwiches, grill, cooked food, and each day a different type of cuisine like Thai, soul, sushi, etc. To make an order you can use one of the kiosks, or just walk around and choose something ready. I personally enjoy the flat bread pizza, the salad bar, and the chicken salad. I did not enjoy the grill, it is overly greasy and all tastes the same. They take forever for eggs at breakfast. Also, the BistrOH gets so crowded at lunch time, and there is no cell phone access inside the sitting area. But overall, you can't go wrong with...

For a hospital cafeteria, this place great! It's not fine dining but still great food for what it is. They source much of their meat locally and have many options each day. Everyday they offer a salad bar and 3 soups, a grill station with a special feature and a few standby options available everyday, a pizza oven station (special of the day or build your own), an entree section (2 entrees and 2-4 various sides), an action station (featuring a specialty "bar" of the day - taco salad, mashed potato bar, ethnic food bar, and sushi to name a few), a deli station, and bagels/baked goods, and a few grab-and-go coolers with sandwiches, salads, and entrees for...
