Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Columbus

So my friend and I went to have dinner at DQ and were quite indecisive while waiting in line. Finally, my friend decided and went up to order. He requested a double cheeseburger with only ketchup, but he received double cheeseburger with a lot ketchup and a lot of lettuce. It was actually so much ketchup that you couldn't even eat the sandwich without holding it with a napkin. In addition to that he didn't even receive a cup with his meal that he ordered and he confirmed on the receipt that he did pay for one requiring him to go back up and retrieve a cup that he should have gotten when he ordered his meal. To make matters even worse for him they give us the number to sit at our table this generally means that we expect to be served our food rather than going up to pick up our food, rather than that happening, they simply called her number and had us come up to get our food. This however all had to do with one server. I however want to make it very clear that my server was impeccable. Meaning I don't want to blame everyone in the Dairy Queen for the poor service. When I finally stepped up to order my food the server was very polite in everything that he said, waited for me to stop before he spoke, and after I requested the number one meal he confirmed all the ingredients that would be placed on the burger. He did this to make sure that it was okay with me, prior to me asking for any changes to be made, that the burger would be served with all the toppings, rather than assuming that I would be okay with that. Kudos to that server he did a great job. I have no way of knowing what that servers name was and I paid with a gift card therefore I could not give a tip I deeply regretted not carrying cash on me that day because he did...

This place has a special place in my heart as I ate here a lot as a kid and while attending school, but at least the Chili cheese dogs do not compare to the ones at the Columbus Center location. I am not sure why, but I got the same result twice, so it must be that they use different food here. I am not sure how the other food compares. Either way, the best Chili cheese dog is from Becker's. Then possibly Musalami's (I wasn't real thrilled the time I had it, but it still might beat DQ although I would have to try again), then DQ in Columbus Center before here. To be frank (no pun intended) I would rather have a hot dog with Sloppy Joe sauce at home over this for sure and probably the other places except Becker's. I’m sad to give this DQ a bad review because the burgers are great and I love stopping by there after I pick my son up from school to get a cool treat. The employees are friendly and try really hard. But the chaotic environment is out of control. The middle schoolers that come in from central have taken over and it is awful. I literally have been hit in the head with flying objects. It’s not safe and someone is gonna get hurt in there. May I suggest you ban on children under 16 without adult supervision. Until then I am sorry to say I won’t be back.
