Hello, I really hate to leave this review, but I feel that I must. I want to start by saying this was one of my favorite places to eat. However, not now. The food was not as good as it has been in the past and I felt very insulted by our server. I will explain both in just a second. The owner is very friendly and when she is there she always greets you with a smile. Now the first thing, the food: I got a Thai ice tea and that was very good. I got a small bowl of Tom Yum soup with tofu and hot spice level. The mushrooms in the soup were cold and completely uncooked. It was like they spooned out the soup and just before bringing it to the table, they threw in sliced, uncooked, cold mushrooms. I have never gotten this soup like this before. It has been very good in the past and the mushrooms they once used were really good, but not these. The mushrooms ruined the soup. I also got Thai fried rice, not the basil rice and not the pineapple rice, but the plain Thai fried rice. Usually this is delicious. It usually has a little sweet taste, maybe that was because of the onions they once used in it. The rice was ok, it didn’t have that sweet taste it has had in the past, which was delicious. I got the Thai fried rice with shrimp and hot spice level. The shrimp was cold and not cooked enough. Shrimp must be thoroughly cooked in my opinion. That is the only way I can eat it. I couldn’t eat the shrimp, I gave it to my partner sitting at the table with me. He told me that he thought it needed to be cooked a lot more, but he ate it because he didn’t want to waste food since so many people are unable to purchase enough food to feed their families. So the soup and the rice dish were not good. Now, the comment from the server that made me feel incredibly insulted: He was very good at taking care of our table, bringing drinks, food, and refilling drinks. We have had him as our server many times and he is always pleasant and he is a very good server. I hope he did not mean to hurt my feelings by his negative comment. He told me I reminded him of Rosanne Barr. I am totally repulsed by Rosanne Barr! I do not watch her show because she repulses me. She plays a fat lady, a slob dresser, a big mouth with a horrible attitude! I will never watch anything Rosanne Barr is in. She is repulsive! I remember how she made fun of the National Anthem once by singing it in a horrible way. And, she thought that was really funny by insulting our Nation. She is an extremely repulsive person in my opinion! I felt incredibly insulted by being compared to her. What a true insult. What makes this all so horrible to me is the fact that I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. I could have chose any restaurant, but I chose Thai Connection to celebrate and have my birthday dinner. With the bad food and with such a negative insult, I will not return to this restaurant again. There are many Thai restaurants to choose from and from now on, I will choose another Thai place to eat one of my...

This is one upscale Thai restaurant in Columbus, IN which I really liked. Usually the Thai food I have had has a very common flavor for everything they serve. But this experience was different. The ambience was amazing. We started with sake( rice wine) , it's the best I have had so far since it was the perfect warm. The ambiant lights were soothing. They also serve bubbled Thai teas which is good. I had a green curry based grilled salmon with sticky rice which I thought was amazing. The green curry quantity could have been little more. This is not like those places where you get a whole lot of amount of food for cheap. They served the right amount with the right taste which I liked. My friend ordered a variation of Pad Thai noodles which was just rice noodles I guess. It tasted okay since I am not a big fan of soy sauce. The desert part was the best. I have had sticky rice with mango before but this looked authentic and the sticky rice they cooked was amazing. The mango chosen reminded me of Alphonso mango and I asked them to confirm. It was from a Mexican brand. I loved the food there and I will visit that place again next time for Panang curry maybe. The staff is very friendly and knows...

The appetizer was actually really good, which is why I am giving two stars and not one. My wife and I got the fried tilapia, it was absolutely horrible. Way over-cooked and the meat literally had no flavor. The sauce was average at best, small portion of rice. The manager/owner came by to ask how our meal was, I told them about the fish, laying there on the plate it was obvious it was way over cooked. They offered a 30% discount and then when the bill came it was only 15%. Ok, didn’t complain I just won’t go back and would never recommend this restaurant. As a business owner I am surprised how short sighted some people are.... penny wise and pound foolish. Offer something else on the menu and win business! One return trip and a referral would more than cover it. We went to another restaurant when we were finished.... that one had good customer service and good food. Guess what? we will go back there... that’s...

What a great food experience, my taste buds were so happy! We put 8 orders of food in to take out and they had everything marked clearly and in an easy to carry flat box. The waiter even went over the whole list before handing it to us to confirm our order - that's excellent service! I ordered Pad Kemau and all three orders had 5 "heat signatures" - Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot, Thai Hot. I love it hot, but not so hot that I can't taste the food - that's been my experience with "Thai Hot," and I was told my a local that "Hot" will creep up on you as you eat more, so that's what I got. The heat was good, I could have gone for the "Extra Hot" but nonetheless my food tasted absolutely fantastic - on fact or whole party thoroughly enjoyed their food! If you're anywhere in the vicinity of downtown Columbus, IN you HAVE to have their food - your tastebuds will thank you!

This place was amazing. First of all you have to order the crab ragoons. Every Asian restaurant I visit that has crab ragoons I order them and these are the best I've ever had. So much filling and big chunks of crab they were just amazing. I order the Padd Thai #53 with chicken and got it extra hot and it was great. I enjoy hot food and usually have to add extra hot sauce to get it spicy. The extra hot was perfect had just enough heat to enjoy but wasn't overwhelming and didnt take away from the taste of the food. The taste was outstanding and the portion size was huge. I thought it was a little pricey but it was definitely worth it for the amount of food you get and the quality of the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
