Donatos Pizza — Restaurant in Columbus

I work for a local pizza place so trust me I have sympathy for those days where it’s been slow and you just want to go home. That being said, I don’t even know if that’s what happened. But as someone that works in the food industry, customer service is the key. I love Donatos and I live ONE MILE from this location and most of the time they’ve been great. But the past 3 times I’ve ordered delivery from this Donatos. 1) my food is wrong. All wrong. 2) I’m promised a credit of the amount of of messed up food. Order again a week later and no credit can be found attached to my number and 3) they’ve been hella late. Decided to give them another chance because it was going on 11:20 and I was starving and have no food. Ordered a 12” pepp and banana pepp pizza. Easy. Quick. You think? Remind you I live ONE MILE from this location. Estimated time was 30 minutes. 12 hits and I still haven’t gotten the “your pizza has left the building” email that I get every other time.12:10 rolls around. Getting more annoyed. I honestly figured they’d just closed up shop and said f’ this girl. 12....25 hits and I’ve resorted to the ramen noodles in my cabinet. And I hear a knock at the door. Are you serious? I open. He hands me the pizza and at this point I was just frustrated, hungry and tired I didn’t make a big deal about it. Paid. Sat down to enjoy my pizza... open the box... and it’s clearly been sitting, GOD KNOWS WHERE FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG. Actually cold to the touch. Seriously might have well actually said f’ this girl and her pizza and not brought me it. Now I’m $40 short, if you count the credit I was promised and never received. DO NOT EAT HERE!!...

FLAVOR! Maybe I've been deprived, but as a newcomer to Ohio, Donatos is incredible pizza! Edge to edge goodness, and I just want to try every since option they have available. I first tried it at John Glenn(CMH) airport and had the founders and a small 7inch pepperoni for my son and I must be deprived of edge to edge goodness because it feels like a much better pizza when the topping reach the edge. And their unique style of cutting the pieces off traditional sure makes it easier to hold, especially for small hands. My son is only 2 and a half and now loves pizza and he had no problems eating it. Tonight, I had the Hot Chicken, and I couldn't even wait to get home before eating several slices since I've always known pizza tastes so much better right out of the oven! It reminds me of how sushi tastes so much better right after the chef makes it rather than packaged or taken to a table or a display train. The fact that they have cauliflower crust, which I hear from my coworkers, tastes incredible, and other crust options makes me want to try it all. The airport has some limited options, but it is still amazing and definitely offers a cauliflower crust as well. If you've never tried Donatos, you should! Maybe some other people are less impressed since they are used to the pizza around here but between Beer Barrel and Donatos, they have some amazing options to chose from that are vastly different from traditional pizza and have so much more flavor for the value. It was a total party in my mouth, my wife's, and my son's....

We went to pick up our order after the 4th of July fireworks and we ordered on the doordash app. when we arrived the old women refused to help us find our order. I confirmed the location and name but she kept saying she didn’t have an order for me. I showed that it said it was ready and even told her what type of food it was. I understand if something got lost of there was a mix up but she never once left to go check if maybe our order was made and under a different name or leave from the window. she kept saying that she didn’t have an order for us and kept being extremely rude. I personally work in food service and would try to find other means of helping my customers find their food. it was a simple cheese pizza and she could have taken a least one look at something other than the computer. she didn’t ask anyone else there or anything. just kept rudely saying she didn’t have our order. I believe she didn’t want to make our food and just kept lying to get us to leave. and because it was from doordash we had to contact them and get our refund. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN IF SHE WAS WORKING!! we ordered food at the dontatos and bethel and they were great! if this old lady wasn’t so extremely rude about my simple desire to have the food I paid for then I wouldn’t have been so upset.
