I’m not normally one to give a negative review, but with there being really not much like it’s kind in Columbus…making it feel like MomiLand can continue to money grab while making no improvements and ignoring criticism…when we’re talking about children I feel I need to say something. We have been to all 3 locations several times…reluctantly, with a high-energy toddler, we continue to go. The Hilliard location is particularly dirty…Polaris close behind and I’m sure Gahanna will get there. There is a layer of filth on almost everything. Things are held together by duct tape, so many balls in the ball pit are crushed and broken, and things go without being fixed or replaced for months and months. We went at 9am, second ones in and there were clear messed that weren’t cleaned up from the day before (or who knows for how long). There was literal bloody snot on the steps leading to the play structure. The bins that the play food are in are caked with dust. Along with broken balls, I saw 2 inside out socks in the ball pit clearly from the day before. The infant area is soooooo gross and nobody is monitoring that 2,3,4,5 year olds aren’t playing in there. There were 2 people working with very very little traffic coming in…why are neither of them cleaning or monitoring the play area? What are we doing that’s so important behind the desk and requires 2 people? I will pay for socks every single time…I will not get on the play structure with my toddler even though she prefers my help, I’ll pay $16…I don’t care what your hours are..I’m not complaining about any of that…I’m literally just asking the place to be clean and in good repair. We’re talking about children and they deserve better. I really really hope this place does better. I’d like to not return..we only go when I have no other ideas to get out of the house and I’m alone with both kids.
Edit: we visited again for what will be our last time. It’s hard to describe truly how filthy this place is. 3 people working at the front desk and I never saw one of them the entire time we were there. It wasn’t very busy, it was about 1pm so I’m sure it had just cleared out for nap time. So dirty, hair everywhere, entire place in disrepair, no materials at the work bench or play kitchen. SO Disappointing....
Read moreI feel the employees that helped with the party o site were very helpful. First, I scheduled my part date and paid in full at the end of March. I was advised that the party coordinator would call two weeks before the party. Which it actually should be three weeks so that you can get full details as the website is limited on the information as far as do’s and don’ts. Then I went to survey the space to see if it was adequate for my family. Now mind you I paid $1075 for After hour party which was for two hours. Only got access to one party room even though there are two rooms which kept my family segregated because not enough tables and space for everyone to be together. Then we only had 15 minutes before the party to set up and five minutes after to clean up. I asked a manager Rain or Ray if we could have access to the other party room, she said sure no problem but the party coordinator was like yeah she’s new she doesn’t know what she is talking about. Which translates to me the consumer must pay for the poor communication we have amongst our staff. Which six days before the party would not allow me the time needed to cancel if I was unhappy with the policy or just needed more space. Furthermore, my money was non-refundable and when I booked the party there was no one available to give the details or policy before booking. I will say the kids enjoyed themselves and the staff on site was very helpful. If you have a big family you might want to rethink your choice at MomiLand. MomiLand needs to work on their communication with their staff so everyone is on the same page. More than one party coordinator will definitely help convey your policies to consumers prior to booking. Which will avoid...
Read moreFirst of all we love it, but we think it could be SO much better. 1- The Hilliard location in general needs some up keep and maintenance. Just with regards to the upholstery and the worn out condition of a lot of the toys and slides etc. (Easily comparable to the newer gahanna location).
2- In general the place is just basic. Yes for the most part it can seem enough for some kids, but they get bored so quickly. Maybe in 30/45mins they've done a full round of everything. There isn't that many options for what they can do and the decor is not that enticing or interactive. I've gone to other indoor playgrounds in Canada or Europe or even the middle east that were a lot cooler.
3- I really think it would be a great idea to have a little coffee shop or snack place for adults to really enjoy their time as well. Instead of just having some chips. For example the small coffee shops at the library, not that expensive to run and can even be lucrative to the business!
All of that being said, I'm really not trying to be a Karen or just be nitpicking, this is really constructive criticism because I genuinely love this place and want it to be better. We're not going to stop coming anytime soon but we could've definitely be having a way better experience.
Finally, I have to say that all the staff are great and also the cleanliness is at an adequate level especially at busy days with all the toddler craziness. Also it was a great decision to extend week day hours! God know us working moms needed that :)!!
Thank you for having us and hope you take these comments into...
