I've been to so many Indian restaurants but the food at Taj Palace is by far the BEST. Yeah they don't have dinner buffets but I absolutely LOVE how I am never afraid to order anything off the menu or try anything new, they never seem to disappoint me. I am very glad I choose to stay for dinner and order off their menu and now I love this restaurant even more! Anytime I get a spice level on their menu it's exactly how I want it. The service and food is absolutely phenomenal they are very genuine and care very much about their customers and make sure I am pleased with my food every time I'm there! If you have not tried this restaurant you are definitely missing out. They still have their lunch buffet every day and always surprise you with the different choice options. I love that they have choices for any person everyday for lunch buffet or dinner menu whether you are vegetarian, vegan, non vegetarian there is just so many options! It's definitely hard to choose a favorite dish but be sure to try out the chicken masala, tandoori chicken, Malai kofta, chicken curry or even the vegetarian or non vegetarian thali. There is nothing bad I can say about this restaurant honestly. Do not hesitate to try it you will definitely...
Read moreWe went here as this was a quick detour from the highway (3 mins). Reviews had mentioned that their thali was good, so we ordered the veg thali, which was good (samosa was the best, dal makhni wasn’t like dal makhni but tasted more like basic dal but delicious, saag panner was really good, thali mentioned malai kofta which tasted more like kadhi pakora (but it was a good kadhi pakora), kheer was too sweet and rice in the kheer was half cooked or say not cooked with milk while preparing the kheer)! But, thali still tasted fine so 3 stars. We also ordered kadhai paneer and roti separately, which really disappointed us! Neither the tandoori roti was good, nor the kadhai paneer! The onions and bell peppers were not completely cooked. Roti was thick and chewy! The vibes of the place wasn’t very lively, but more on the dull side. What I did not like was that they charged us twice for customization! We replaced the naan in thali by roti, so that is one customization..we don’t know what was the other one (may be a to-go box, I assume)!
Overall, might be the only time we...
Read moreThis is my favorite Indian restaurant in all of Columbus. The food is so delicious and always fresh. The staff is always very friendly and polite. I usually order samosa chat and also the vegetable samosas on the side too LOL I’ve tried over 5 other Indian restaurants in Columbus but Taj Palace has the best samosas and chutneys. I love mixing the onion chutney with the tamarind chutney together when eating the samosas. Also the garlic naan???? ALWAYS SO HOT AND FRESH AND CRISPY AND SOFT ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I eat about 2 garlic naans alone. I also order the chicken tikka masala with a spice level 4 of 10 which is perfect for me. It has just the right amount of kick for me without it being overly spicy. My friend got the swordfish curry and also really liked that dish. I love to dine in when enjoying Indian food but I also enjoy taking this meal to-go and enjoying it in the comfort of my home sometimes for a night in. The drive is about 20 min from my house but the food is still hot and fresh. Highly...
