E Sushi Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Columbus

E Sushi looks quite unassuming when you pull into the parking lot, but it exceeds expectations inside. The atmosphere inside is very nice, small but nice and clean. When I went for lunch there was only one other customer and wait staff was very attentive and patient with my lack of sushi knowledge and comfortability. I ordered the chicken karaage to start and it was incredible! Even more so for the amount of chicken at the price of $5.95. After taking some time with the menu I ordered both a spicy shrimp roll and a lion king roll and asked for no cucumber, which they were happy to oblige. The sushi came out fast! The presentation was very beautiful and the taste was next level. Everything was packed with flavor and freshness. I wanted to bring some take-out sushi lunch to a friend on moving day. I just picked out the E Sushi from online listings and reviews. My friend decided to just meet me there to eat the food, but when we pulled up, we had misgivings as all the windows were covered. However, inside it was cozy and simply decorated, and would have looked bare and cafeteria ish without the window coverings.

The sushi couldn't have been fresher and more pleasantly presented. We ordered the sushi lunch plate, with was varied and of sufficient quantity that I was full. The salad starter was an iceberg, cucumber basic salad, but with a big splash of ginger dressing (sauce really, not oily) that really made it tastily refreshing. One could have soup instead of salad.

The price was good for the quality and quantity of the food. I can't wait to go back for lunch, or try...

Really delicious sushi and a great atmosphere! First we got tea and the wasabi gyoza- one of my favorite things! It came with a nice tangy sauce we saved to eat with the sushi as well. We also got the regular special sushi dinner and it had a lot of sashimi as well as California roll. The roll was great though I wasn’t expecting the sashimi, I would have chosen another roll instead. We also got the jenny roll and it was really good, smoky and had a decent amount of cream cheese inside and little crisps and sauces on the top. We finished with the red bean ice cream and it was more vanilla-y but also had some red bean pieces and some whipped cream and sprinkles too, so very fitting for a birthday. It was a little busy later on a Friday but we only waited around 10 minutes or so.Would definitely come again to this...
