First the good, the place was spotlessly clean! The staff, everyone of them, were super friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a pleasing atmosphere. But your here for the review of the food and that is where the two stars is earned. I admit to being spoiled on good Asian food (Lord how I miss House of Wu) and although I’m accustom to Vietnamese food, seeing it paired with Japanese food placed me in a strange land with unfamiliar choices. Specifics: there are no egg rolls fried that are found in most Vietnamese/Chinese restaurants, instead there are a pâté filled fried shell about half the size of the normal ones that remind of something I ate in Mexico once that I am still trying to forget. The fried rice was NOT, but rather steamed and bland at best. The Teriyaki chicken was below par, being neither sweet nor flavorful. I prefer my seafood cooked so that removed half the menu options for me. But im aware some people like eating raw fish, or paying way too much for goods that have global, fair trade or some other ambiguous pro-noun attached for that matter, if this sounds like you, then this may be your cup of tea. As for me, I prefer Lipton...

We visited here after visitation prior to my aunt's funeral this past December 17. There was about a half hour wait to be seated: it was a Friday evening, after all, but was it ever worth the wait!
We started out with appetizers of edamame, calamari tempura and steamed shrimp dumplings. I've had edamame plenty of times in plenty of different restaurants, but this just a little different (and in a good way). I'd love to know how they seasoned it. The calamari were delectable: the tempura batter was perfect, stayed on the calamari, and the calamari had "resistance" to them without being rubbery.
I had the shrimp/scallop hibachi; my partner had the steak/scallop hibachi. The scallops were just done, and perfectly seasoned. I had a bite of my partner's steak: it was amazing and absolutely complemented the scallops.
Once we were seated, the wait staff were extremely attentive to us. We could not have asked for a better experience!
We will definitely be making the trip from Indianapolis to visit this...
Read moreFriendly staff, clean dining area and a variety of options on the menu - bathroom was dingy and not child friendly (it looked as if there used to be a changing station on the wall but it is no longer there) but they did have high chairs so if you have another space to change your child in this restaurant might work for you. Disappointed in the children's menu portions for $6 my daughter got (maybe) half a cup of fried rice and 8 shrimp the size of your thumbnail. It was supposed to be teriyaki but there was no sauce and the rice was hard. The other reviews talk about how great their sushi is so if you're looking for a place to get sushi it seems like this is your place but if you are looking for pho I would look elsewhere. I ordered a rare beef pho - the broth lacked flavor, it was very bland and very greasy. I've never seen pho with this much oil floating on top of the soup. It was not enjoyable and I wouldn't return if I'm...
