Take your time and money elsewhere.. This past Sunday my family and I chose to visit the Mill Run First Watch for my birthday. When we arrived there were to people to be sat ahead of us and a wait of 15 minutes, gave my phone number, and we sat in the entry area. During our wait i started noticing groups our size (4) or larger (a college age group of young ladies) being sat before us. We were starting to get very frustrated, I asked how much longer and the original hostess with blonde hair told me 25 -30 more minutes! I asked how that was possible, I still had not been texted or name called out. I explained how long we had been there, that I had been watching them and listening closely ...and my special needs son was getting very frustrated (hes 8), as any child would be, as my teenager and husband were too. We waited a little while longer, I could tell by then the morning rush was fully upon us, we got up to leave and ironically I got the text to be seated. I was very annoyed to see a family we know already being served their food when they came in AFTER us. We had arrived earlier since we know about the sunday crowds, and did not want to make our special needs son anxious with a long wait. Obviously that did not go as planned. We placed our order with the server, which she was nice but we only saw her 3x during our visit. Once to get our order in, another when she got our drinks and at the very end to give us our check. Our food came for 3 of us, somehow my sons childrens waffle dish took almost another 10 minutes, each time a different server came with the food, and my husband had to get the attention of another server twice to get another chocolate milk, and water for our table. My eggs and my husbands had little eggshell bits in them, the waffle my daughter had was mushy in the middle, and her bacon was so hard and blackened that she broke a bracket off her braces. (Which I am very agitated needing to take time off my business to take her for an ortho visit). I could not believe how bad everything was start to finish. As soon as we got our son fed we asked for the check from the 1st server as she was at another table. When we checked out for some reason the girl at the register said my birthday entree wasnt able to be scanned from my email so my husband asked she take it off or get a manager. She got it off and then acted surprised when we said we wanted the receipt. It was such a disapointing experience. My son with his bad morning experience set the tone for the day. This location has had its ups and downs in past years,.. right now I strongly recommend going elsewhere and supporting a local...
Read moreThis particular First Watch is above most eateries on all levels. The people are friendly and helpful. Their service is what most other places would try to strive for. The food is fresh and well prepared, eggs taken from the shell to grittle as ordered, and not from a prepared mix that one dumps on the grittle.....short cut for convience, not freshness.
Their dishes aren't the typical fare. The dishes are always great mixes of fresh ingredients, guality ingredients, not the lesser quality produce typically used everywhere else. The breads are not the common dough loaves found on the grocery shelves, the breads are of a hearty type to accentuate the uniqueness and taste of the dish's offerings.
Ohh... and the price......very reasonable for any restaurant, on par with the lesser eateries hohum dishes. This eatery is not of the ilk who choose to impress patrons with the cost as an indicator of the quality of the eatery, they let their dishes convey quality and taste as opposition to the standards of mediocrity.
One slight problem though.... getting seats during peak hunger periods. As one would expect, when hunger hits, one wants the grumbly voice of the belly appeased as quickly as possible. The turnover of tables here is achieved as quickly as hands can gather dishes from the table and prepare for the next guest's requests.
Their hours are from early morning to 2:30pm daily. Weekends are as one expects, busy, but no matter, these folks will leave you...
Read moreFirst and LAST time eating here!!! I ordered takeout while I was at work, and let me tell you… NEVER again!!!
The food tasted good at first 😋, I’ll give them that… But almost IMMEDIATELY after eating it, I got soooo sick: Stomach cramps 🤢 Diarrhea 🚽💨 Nausea 🤮 Miserable at work 😩
THANK THE LORD I had Pepto Bismol in my bag, or I wouldn’t have made it through the day ✝️🩷🙏!! It made me sick just like Panda Express used to — which is exactly why I had to stop eating there too 🐼🚫.
I don’t know what kind of preservatives and additives 🧪⚠️ they’re using in this food, but it’s NOT agreeing with my body. These restaurants are supposed to be using the same general flavors, but this was a complete disaster for my stomach.
So if you’re thinking about eating here—BE CAREFUL. Looks good, tastes good… then BOOM — you’re running to the bathroom 💥➡️🚽.
This restaurant seriously needs to know that their preservatives and additives are making people SICK.
I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Eat here at your own risk. I will NOT be back!
First time? Last time. Food: Tasty 😋 Aftermath: HORRIFIC 🤮😫 Stomach: Fighting for its life 🥴💀 Diarrhea: Yes ma’am 🚽💨 Cramps: Absolutely 😖 Panda Express flashbacks: Activated 🐼⚠️ Preservatives & Additives: What are y’all using?? 🧪🛑 Pepto Bismol: The real hero 🩷👛🦸♀️ Regret level: Infinity...
