I and my family have been eating granddad's pizza in grandview for over 10 years. The food has always been great as was their employees and delivery drivers. Today the person takin my order was horrible to me. He said he was a new manager or mangr in training. I ordered a delivery on Wed. Aug 20 2025 and the driver forgot my drinks. He wad VERY kind and apologetic. He returned 25 min later with my drinks. He offered to put a credit for half the order amount when he returned to work. I thanked him. I called today for delivery and asked what my credit amount was. The "manager" (ha!) rudely told me there wasno credit and that I wasn't allowed any more credits. I said I was offered one by the driver. He then said I had too many. The truth is they had messed up too many orders or deliveries!! He then asked why I continued to order from them. HUH?! I then told him because we love their food and that they don't get it wrong as much as they do right. He was so rude and the most unprofessional person I've ever encountered. Very downgrading to me. I told him that I and most likely my friends and family would no longer patronize Grandads pizza. Bottom line he thinks it's ok to mess up orders and not make them right. The delivery guy should be the manager. He was polite and wanted to right a wrong. I will miss the awesome pizzas, salads and subs but not countless mistakes and rude pompous guy in charge today. He just cost the business a lot of money over $11. Dominos, Jets and Panzera here we all come. This is my first negative review. He was too aggregous to...
Read moreI will never order from Grandads again. I ordered 2 pizza today, both were cold and one was burnt. The delivery driver called my cell phone when he arrived at my work location but due to a lack of reception I didn't get the call. He left a message tellilng me he had to leave. I called grandads back and explained that I didn't get the call (which has never happened before when calling) and he said he would send the driver back. At this time an hour had passed and I asked for fresh pizza, which I was told he would check with the drive. I told them if the pizza were cold I would call back, and they were. When I spoke to the manager, he told me "this is totally your fault, the pizza wouldn't of been cold if you would of answered the phone the first time" even though I showed the driver my cell phone log proving I didn't get the call, but I did get the message (which I was only aware of because of the message indicator light. But I showed him that his call didn't come through and before he came back I asked to have fresh pizza sent back out. The MANAGER said "this is totally your fault and I'm not going to to anything for you. If you don't like it, you never have to order from here again." Worst experience ever. Rude. Rude. Rude. I hoep the owner knows that the manager is driving business away. We order pizza at work all the time, but we will not be choosing Grandads to furnish food for any events. Plus, I have told everybody in my office about this treatment and everyone...
Read moreI briefly visited the "ordering and pickup area" of Grandad's Pizza [at 1254 W. Third Ave. in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus] yesterday [9-12-2022] while walking towards another destination.
Google Maps clearly says that that location of Grandad's Pizza offers "dine-in" eating; however, the Grandad's Pizza website itself says, "Grandad’s Pizza (Grandview) is delivery and pick up only. There is seating at Byrne's Pub next door."
As an active "Google Maps Local Guide," I decided to stop by at Grandad's Pizza yesterday to find out whether or not they offer "dine-in" eating. I had been there for less than one minute.
Their customer area is approximately twelve feet wide and eight feet deep and has no tables or chairs. There is a large wooden bench at which one could sit while waiting for a food order to be completed but I cannot imagine that anyone would want to eat their food -- or perhaps would even be allowed to eat their food -- while sitting at that bench.
After having returned home, I attempted to correct the "Google Maps" listing for Grandad's Pizza to indicate that they do not offer "dine-in" eating but had been unable to make...
