I do not recommend going to Boss Gal if you have sensitive or tricky skin. I emailed Boss Gal about my experience a few weeks ago and they didn't even bother to reply. A week later, I emailed to cancel my beauty bank membership and told them it was because they didn't respond to my email. They just canceled it and did not even bother to follow up.
I came to Boss Gal initially in April trying to clear up my skin before my wedding in August. I had never had a dermaplane before and notified the person I saw that my skin was sensitive. She ended up shaving all the way into my hairline and it still is growing back.
I ended up going to another location in May and the girl was fine, however she derma planed my face again and went all the way down my neck, which caused me to have folliculitis on my neck and it still has not cleared up two months later. Some of the extractions were a little bit aggressive and I now have a couple scars.
I went to another location this month and she was the most knowledgeable yet. She told me she never would have derma planed my face because my skin was too dry and sensitive. I paid for a HydraFacial which also includes a dermplane, and instead of refunding me for the dermaplane she did not perform at my appointment, she gave me a free dermaplane card, which I will never use.
I spent a lot of money on products they suggested and facials and my skin ended up worse. When I went to a different company that is more medical grade, the esthetician told me she never would have done those facials or the dermaplanes on me at all because it only will make things worse. I just feel like at Boss Gal they wanted to get me in the chair and get my money.
I am not usually one to complain, however I do think it is poor customer service to not even reply to an email about a customer experience. Especially for someone who has spent hundreds of dollars at their business establishment.
