If I could give less stars I would. Crowded place so I assume that the food is good and customer service is where it should be. Not the case. Hr long wait. Okay fine. Didn't take that long which was great. Teia was our waitress and had the most superficial smile on. Southern kindess as some would say. We ordered and waited. All fine. Brought the plates out and was told the plates were hot. Okay. Me and my two sons. I've heard hot before never scorching, iron hot before. I moved my sons plate so he wouldn't burn himself after I touched it and felt a swelling in my finger. It was too hot yet my other son's plate was not. My son with the hot plate as you can imagine rwChed over his pate and burned himself. Yep. Rubbed ice one it, told the hostess, and waited. She tooke her time getting something and came back with nothing. Waitress was told and came back with this bothered look on her face as if we should be at fault for that. Ger first statement was that "well that is why we tell you in the beginning the plate is hot!" Didn't ask if he was okay, no apology, nothing. I asked for the food to be replated. She did do that and brought ice which I was never made aware of. I asked to speak with a manager where the hostess made me aware that there wasn't a manager available and the owner was cooking in the back. The waitress Teia was made aware and came back out for another round of words. She went back and forth with me about what they said about the plates being hot, talking over me instead of listening to my concern for my son being burned and no real effort was made to care for his injury. My issues is simply apologize which she claimed she did and be more attentive to my child for being burned not more concerned about the disclaimer. Before she came over she had some young boy, son or sibling come with her. When I asked to speak with the manager my waitress claimed to be that. Asked what do you want me to do. I asked to for my meal to be taken off since I no longer had an appetite. The young guy came back and took my food and threw the napkin back at us then nearly ran over my son trying to get the check. Not sure why. Not tipping for such lack for concern. This was my first time visiting this establishment and most certainly will...
Read moreDon't waste your time or money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Worst food in Columbus!!!!!!!! If you like flat rubbery waffles and microwave chicken fingers on your chicken and waffles, if you want watered down drinks and flat sodas, if you want a server to argue and get an attitude this is the place for you, when my red velvet chicken and waffles came out the waffle looked like a deflated rubber balloon. However if you want decent food and decent standards go to McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's, Dairy queen. Go anywhere but here. This is another restaurant in need of Robert Irvine's restaurant impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow what a great Father's day meal thanks for making it so horrible from me!!!!!!!!! Sure glad you were there to destroy it and sende home hungry!!!!!!!!!
((((Follow up to owners response)))))
First of all if you're an owner maybe you should learn people skills. Walking up to a table and standing there staring at a customer without introducing yourself would put anyone on edge.
Second...First impressions are what count and when you let food come out of the kitchen looking the way it did maybe you should reevaluate your quality control.
You are correct I did drink the bloody mary and did complain about it but never asked for it to be removed from the bill. Actually I never asked for anything to be removed from the bill. You volunteered to comp my meal.
Also as your server can attest to we didn't have an issue until we asked her for a soda for my son that wasn't flat. She then proceeded to tell us she gets that complaint alot because the soda comes from a can. My question is what kind of restaurant serves soda from a can????
Your response to my review is inaccurate and not truthful. If you would like to make this right. Improve your service and quality control for future guests. I would also suggest getting a soda machine and stop serving soda from a can. You could always call Robert Irvine to teach you how to run a...
Read moreAbsolutely not worth the price … great waitress but can not actually express how it’s just not worth it😅…. The bill didn’t match the food and auto gratuity for 2 people on a limited menu! 152 For a flank steak with no steak knife given The food wasn’t bagged for us, which is expected for select service.
The atmosphere isn’t exceptional, doesn’t match the price There is a floor fan instead of the air being turned on… it was very warm inside It seems gratuity is taken either because your not paying then enough or you don’t trust ppl to tip . Both are an issue because they will crumble a business. … This review is hard to because it fell well short of expectations
Edit to response to the owner: the problems things that I have observed were observed since the pandemic, it is clear you, over charge for your slower hours, with no Justification for the price point! Whether you pay enough is a customer feeling versus them actually telling you that… My original tip was going to be 40dollars but it was consumed in a less then average dinner and atmosphere! Especially when its not 5 or more ppl at the table thats the proper etiquette and time( its dissociative) and raises questions, versus focusing on the experience! You should not do this it hurts you, you you wont receive returning customers… most reviews that are positive have only alcoholic beverages to justify there experience!
There was more to list that I did not like from this dining experience… but I loved the conversations with my favorite cousin more… its not always complaining to a great waitress there was nothing she could do to circumvent the lackluster overall experience! The experience from Girl Diver of Atlanta is- 210 dollar experience in my recent review. My residency here in Columbus and Atlanta helps with a comparable rating… it’s something off in this case… and i am happy share...
