We've been ordering from Jason's at least a couple of times per month. I've updated my reviews every year for the past few years and our opinion of Jason's never changes. We've been getting food there ever since they opened and we've never had a bad meal. Our orders are right every time. The staff is beyond compare! Always super friendly and helpful.
Our entire family loves Jason's food! The food quality is always to the highest standard. My husband and I consider it the best value around. If you're looking for yummy food at an incredible value, go to Jason's Deli!
I usually get their Cali Club. Their customizable salad and salad bar is one of our absolute favorites. It has over 40 choices and, unlike other restaurants, they don't charge extra for the ingredients. When we have them fix a salad for take out, they never skimp on ingredients and they always give me TWO hard boiled eggs, which I love! In my opinion, their salad bar is FAR better than other restaurants premium salads.
My favorite sandwich used to be the Bigger Better BLT on croissant. Lately it's been their Sante Fe Chicken sandwich on toasted whole wheat, or the Cali Club. If you love olives, their muffaletta is a great choice! Our kids love their massive Reubens and my husband loves their salad, bowls, and their many incredible sandwiches. Their chicken salad and tuna salad are also solid choices. My favorite soup is their chicken noodle. It's a thick hearty homemade-style soup. Their new Cheesy Truffle Pasta is a huge hit in our opinion! My husband and I split an order of the Cheesy Truffle Pasta when it first came out. It's delicious ! It comes with yummy focaccia bread. Their new spicy Sicilian sub is amazing! Their food is just absolutely delicious!
Their strawberry shortcake is my favorite dessert. At right around $5, it's a huge bargain! Everyone in our family LOVES their desserts. They have a delicious carrot cake and we'd love to see it as a permanent menu item because it's so yummy!
If you occasionally get dessert out, Jason's desserts are the best! You simply won't find more beautiful or tasty strawberry shortcake! It's made with pound cake instead of biscuits so it's lighter than traditional strawberry shortcake.
We're loving Jason's new visual menu, even though it makes it more difficult to choose what we'll order.
You simply can't beat the food, the staff, or the value at Jason's Deli! I hope the staff makes a good wage because they deserve to be compensated for getting it right every time...
Read moreThe food was good even though I purchased something new and didn't like it...so I could only eat a few bites but the hubby liked it.
HOWEVER...Service was okay for this type of place BUT I did report to a worker that was refilling the Salad Bar that someone took a muffin off of it (they stole it, basically) but my conundrum with it was they did not use the tongs provided to steal it...rather they used their fingers, which they had just rubbed on their pants, to take the muffin which they then promptly popped into their mouth to eat (they are bite-size). After telling the girl, instead of addressing the issue, she continued on doing her re-stock of all the salad bar products...which I then saw another MAJOR ISSUE... First- she put new product on top of the old product already in containers instead of moving the old on top of the new product in order to keep the food rotated...which is the way I always taught staff to do in restaurants back in the day when I managed one. Doing this allows proper rotation and keeps product from getting sour, wilted, or bad to allowing older product to be used first. Secondly-she NEVER removed the muffins from the bar. They should have been removed and discarded.. especially in the days of post COVID and days that we know how dangerous germ transfer can be.
It was disgusting to see the entire salad bar process.
Rotation should be done, all old should be tossed each night & when someone reports food was handled by non-gloved hands it MUST be removed and disposed of.
I would never eat a Salad Bar there...also making me wonder about the process followed by the staff for the counter top food and the rotation process used for it.
I don't think I will return TBH. I don't think I can trust the food handling process. It's not their fault a customer touched food non-gloved, but they should darn sure be disposing of the affected product and replacing it with new. Food rotation is not a maybe process...it is a must process and should be followed at all times in all areas of...
Read moreToday was our first time at Jason’s Deli, and honestly it will probably be the last. A bunch of small things added up to one very frustrating experience.
When we placed our order, we told the cashier it was our first visit. My wife asked how to pick the protein for her salad since the menu said you could. The cashier just kind of stared at her until she repeated the question, then he finally said “cold or hot.” She said cold, but when the food came it wasn’t there at all. We asked and they eventually brought out hot chicken later.
Turns out the cashier also never asked about sides for the sandwiches. No chips, no pickle came with the order. We had to go back up and ask, and the employee told us we should have been asked when ordering. And apparently the “free pickle” is only for takeout, even though the menu doesn’t say that anywhere.
My daughter’s sandwich was weirdly two different halves slapped together—one with customizations, one plain—even though she didn’t ask for any changes. She was disappointed, and we didn’t bother going back up to negotiate another thing.
The salad bar wasn’t much better. My wife asked for a plate, and the guy behind the counter had to dig through the utensils just to find a clean fork. If the silverware isn’t clean, that’s a big red flag.
Usually when you say it’s your first time somewhere, the staff makes an effort to explain how things work and help guide you a little. That didn’t happen here at all. Between missing food, unclear menu stuff, and dirty silverware, we left with a bad taste in our mouths—literally and figuratively.
All in all, it felt like a mix of confusion, lack of attention to detail, and cleanliness issues that turned what should’ve been a simple first visit into a frustrating one. I think if management looked into better training for new guests, clearer menu guidance, and making sure dishes and utensils are actually clean, it would go a long way. We wanted to like this place, but as it stands, we probably...
