I had just worked my 9-5 & caught a flight from Chicago to Columbus on the night of June 2, 2023. Tired and hungry I made the decision to stop at Marco’s. I don’t have this near me back home & thought it would be a simple and straight forward process. It’s pizza. Boy was I wrong…
I walked into chaos.. there was a young black man working the register. Throughout my entire ordering process he was distracted and talking to a “relative”, asking him if he wanted to leave & engage in smoking, and there were a bunch of kids running around and screaming (that were with the female “relative”). I specifically told him the 2 pizza specials I wished to order. He even came from around the register to walk to wall where the promo for specials were listed on the wall and pointed to the exact pizzas I wanted. They were each $9.99 (I believe). I added drinks to the order and paid believing all was correct. After waiting an undetermined amount of time outside, I came back in the store with my receipt. After reviewing the receipt, I noticed that he rang up my order incorrectly. He rang me up for 1 promo pizza & 1 build your own; which in turn made my bill $4 higher than what it should have been.
I showed him the receipt and he agreed that he made a mistake & apologized. He then asked the pink hair, white woman (MOD) to assist. She stood in the back and told the cashier that I could not be refunded and said that I responsible for ensuring my order is correct. (Note: I do not live in a state where food is not taxed, so I did not notice the discrepancy. Again, the location was loud, chaotic and unprofessional, so I was extremely distracted and uncomfortable). The cashier even attempted to give me free breadsticks for the inconvenience, but somehow that never materialized. I was told I could return to the location on Saturday to ask the GM for a refund. After having a heated exchange with “pink hair”, I left because I was starving, tired and agitated. But..now that I have time, I’m coming back for...
Read moreThis location used to be SO good and consistent, but in the past several months they have really gone downhill. I order from this location, for my kids and I about once a week, but we won't be ordering from them anymore. There is something messed up on my order almost every single time anymore, and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, as it seems they've had quite a bit of employee turnover, but at this point I'm just tired of wasting my time and money. They are constantly forgetting items on my order, sending pizza or cheesy bread that is undercooked, overcooked, not cut properly, etc. One time I ordered a salad and received a container that was literally less than half full. This time, they forgot my salad completely, and the driver apologized and said that he would bring it back after making his other deliveries. Never saw him again. When trying to call the store, it's very rare to even get someone to answer, at least not without having to call several times and let it ring for a ridiculous amount of time.Also, for the past couple months it has taken over an hour from the time I submit my order, to the time I receive it, yet the location is less than a mile away. The food is decent, when they actually prepare it correctly, but it's few and far between anymore. Tonight was the final straw of mess-ups. We certainly won't be ordering from this location anymore and I will highly recommend that anyone else in the area not order from here either. Read moreZERO STARS 1 hour and 47 minutes wait for nothing. I was told 20 minutes for my delivery order, but waited an hour. Called and was told one driver and short staffed, but my order should be out the door in 5 minutes, she even stated my address. Waited another 33 minutes and called again to cancel my order of 1 large white cheesy and steak sub...that I really don't think they ever made. Woman said it was delivered, I said no it wasn't. Said she thought I was another person of same name. I waited 1 hour and 47 minutes for the woman to make up stories, then in an attempt to avoid blame, claimed I said I stated pick up....I called and asked for delivery, and then she ultimately hung up on me for no reason other than avoid her responsibility. No food delivered, rude and disrespectful woman, most likely a manager of some sort, poor one at that. I've given my money to them for years because they are close, but not anymore.
