Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Columbus

WHEN I ENTERED AND WALKED UP TO THE COUNTER, THERE WERE FOUR EMPLOYEES STANDING BEHIND THE COUNTER. THEY LOOKED AT ME THEN LOOKED AWAY. NO SMILE, NO GREETING. AN OLDER GENTLEMAN WAS OUT FRONT CLEANING TABLES. HE WALKS BEHIND THE COUNTER WHILE LOOKING AT THE FOUR EMPLOYEES STANDING AROUND TALKING AS THOUGH ONE OF THEM SHOULD HAVE TAKEN MY ORDER. RUDE PEOPLE. I PAID FOR MY ORDER AND WAS AGGREGATED THAT THE MACHINE ASKED FOR A TIP. I, OF COURSE, DID NOT LEAVE A TIP. IF YOU WANT MY MONEY, EARN IT. I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY. I AM NOT JUST GOING TO GIVE IT AWAY. IF THAT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH. WHILE I WAS SITTING AND WAITING FOR MY ORDER. THE OLDER GENTLEMAN COMES UP TO ME, HE TOLD ME SOMETHING HAPPENED WITH THE TAPE IN THE BACK, MY ORDER WAS DELAYED. I BELIEVE MY ORDER WAS DELAYED BECAUSE I DIDN’T LEAVE A TIP. TWO OTHER PEOPLE CAME IN BEHIND ME, THEY HAD CALL IN ORDERS, THEY RECEIVED THEIR ORDERS AND LEFT. I WAS STILL WAITING. NOW, HERE’S THE ICING ON THE CAKE. I FINALLY ARRIVED BACK TO WORK AND OPENED MY LUNCH. THE CROISSANT WAS HARD AND SITTING OFF TO THE SIDE. THE TOMATO WAS TRANSLUCENT/OLD. Good food, rude employees, dining area too small. If you go at lunch have enough time. If you are a solo patron there are very few seats in the dining area. If there are customers with children they will ask you to give up your seat to accommodate other guests (I was solo at a two top and there were two ladies with one child and they asked me to get up in the middle of my lunch after I had been sitting there for 10 minutes) Or if you haven't gotten your food yet, they will bring it to you in a to-go box so you will get the hint. Essentially their lack of space is YOUR problem. How dare a paying customer sit down and not want to give up their seat for a screaming kid halfway through their meal?! I don't like mayonnaise. I've never eaten chicken salad. My friend Ellen wanted to go to Chicken Salad Chick. I asked if they had chicken salad that didn't taste mayonnaise-y and if they'd give me samples like Baskin Robbins. She wasn't sure, but said we'd go somewhere else if it didn't work for me. I arrived before Ellen and told the girl at the register about my concerns. She offered to let me try any I wanted. She said the spicy flavors taste much less mayo-y. That works. I love spicy food!
