Our family recently ordered food from Mi Li Cafe. It was my husband's BIRTHDAY, so I'm even more disappointed that our meals weren't good. Everyone in our family enjoys Asian food but no one liked their food from Mi Li Cafe and we definitely won't return. Everyone thought the food was mediocre and everyone commented that the meat in their meal was tough and dry. Altogether, for our entire order we paid around $80. Very much overpriced for subpar food.
I read online reviews and checked Yelp, as is my normal practice. Based on glowing reviews, we tried this place.
I ordered the grilled pork rolls (#4) and they were okay but they had no flavor unless I used the sauce that comes with them. The sauce was good but that's the only part if the meal that was good. I also ordered the #22 Vermicelli and grilled pork but when we received it, it said #27. I don't know what I received but it was inedible. The meat was SO TOUGH AND SO DRY I couldn't eat it, so I gave it to my husband and he ate it for dinner the following evening.
The only thing that was good was the strawberry bubble tea, and it was very good.
If you're looking for a good meal, I'd avoid this place. It's definitely very much OVERPRICED for subpar food. We'll never return. Even if the food was free we'd never return, that's how bad it was. If you're looking for bubble tea it's fine but I'd never order food from this place again. I'm definitely sorry I made the suggestion to get my husband's birthday dinner from this place because it was such a complete disappointment...
Read moreWorst customer service ever! I been to Mi Li's a couple times ordering their pho dish, every time it seem to just decline. The meat quality is very poor, more fat than anything, very cheap with all the ingredients. Yesterday I went there with my friend and that will be the very last time they have my service. So I ordered my usual pho once again, very poor quality pho. Nothing but fat meats, way too much broth to cover up very little portion of noodles and meat. My friend order a rice dish, she found a hair in it! We immediately told the waitress about it she mumbled to her manager (red haired short hair style) in Vietnamese language, took the plate from us without no apologies. About 10 minutes later the waitress brought over a new plate which turned out to be fine. Then the check came we were both surprised they did not compensate her what so ever. So my friend asks for a discount the waitress and I quote " NO, NO DISCOUNT WE GAVE YOU FOOD NO DISCOUNT! " Yelling so that everyone in the restaurant hears her. My friend paid the bill of course and we left. I will never be returning here ever. Very unprofessional how they handled the situation and poor...
Read moreFor context, I have been blessed with opportunities to travel to Vietnam in recent years, and have fallen in love with noodle soup (pho). One of the friends I made in Vietnam has moved to the US, and my family and I got to help make pho for a meal together, which was awesome. This same friend recommended this restaurant, and anytime I'm in the area, I try to eat here. Excellent authentic pho. This is a simple restaurant, not where you go for a fancy gathering, and probably not for a first date, but an excellent meal as always. Bonus points in that they also have an "extra large" option, great for larger appetites (not that the large is lacking. My picture is of the large). I was on motorcycle, and several miles from home, so I didn't want all that broth to have to...process through, lol. Large pho was around $11, extra large around $14. There were other sizes, I just didn't pay attention to those costs since I wasn't entertaining smaller than large. 😊. Only a couple miles from Iron Pony, so my motorcycling siblings can eat here before dreaming...
