Mikey's Late Night Slice — Restaurant in Columbus

We go here 3 times a year because the pizza is so good. But we've had issues each of those times over the last 2 years. The pizza is so good and heats up well, but if you order a whole pie it's unrealistic to wait near the counter so you go to sit down, and in my case I've never heard our name or pizza typed called when it was done. Instead, we've waited for up to an hour and a half at the bar, just to break down and ask "we ordered our pizza a while ago, we are looking to see what the progress is like" just to be told our pizza was sitting on top of the oven and is now cold.

This last time we ordered it online, with an hour wait time, fair, once again this pizza is so tasty. I arrive 30 minutes after I ordered, then Sit and wait for the email that the pizza is done and ready to pick up. 2 couples were there and one person comes in to pick up an order, not exactly busy. At exactly 1 hour after ordering I go up to the counter and ask about my order, the guy at grabs a box from the top of the oven and presses a button on the order screen and hands me my order, it's cold, on the way out I received an email, my order is ready for pick up.

I just want a hot fresh mikey's one...

This location is one of our favorite places to bring our family for an evening downtown and good pizza. HOWEVER this will be our last visit here!!! They were not busy at all on a Friday night and besides one individual there was another family patiently waiting in the waiting area for their pie to be baked. There was an employee with green hair who kept yelling rudely and very loud “sir in the back pull your mask up, sir put your mask on, sir pull your mask up” I bet she screamed this 8-10 times in a row and was super annoying. Everyone was socially distant and no one there was bothered except the employee with green hair! If we hadn’t already ordered we would have left over her rude behavior! She should’ve been more concerned that the tables hadn’t been cleaned and sanitized after use, because we had to wipe off our own! Also I believed I was overcharged as my bill was over $60 for a family of 5 to get a couple slices! So sad to have this experience!!! The green hair employee ruined this for...

Wait time: First time I have this pizza, Not really sure why people rave about this place. Waited in line for 30-45 mins.

I have no idea why it took so long when the pizza is literally on display, pre cut, waiting to be served.

Flavor: As normal as it gets. Pretty dry, hard to swallow, was in need of someone spitting in my mouth tbh. The dough was tough/chewy.

Portion to price ratio: overpriced for what you get. Paying 6$ for a single slice with scarce amounts of cheese and "basil" aka dried basil that comes in the spice jars

Summary: I can only see this being a good decision if one is thrashed and you don't remember you payed 6$ for a slice of avg/below avg pizza would rather eat ramen at home or buy a gyro/sandwich of off the trucks blaze , only 10$ , better taste, and you can get two portions out of it it shouldn't have a single dollar sign.
