A friend and I were in town for a music event, and decided to try something new. After finding the Voodoo Brewing Co. online and reading through their vast and deliciously enticing drink options, we just couldn’t say no. We arrived and were seated at a lovely table outside, with the perfect vibe. Our server, Chaney was very kind and bubbly. She answered all of our questions, and we chose to have appetizers to pair with our beers. The hummus platter was phenomenal. As someone who not only dislikes olives, but would vote them off the island - I was surprised to see that they came perched atop of this chickpea goodness. However, in the spirit of trying new things - I picked them off and kept calm to carry on. Despite these glorified grapes that went to the dark side - the hummus plate was fantastic. And to the man who commented that it was subpar - you, sir are incorrect. My dining companion had the truffle fries. They tasted like French fries went abroad, studied poetry in Paris, and came back enlightened. This was their Renaissance. 10/10. I loved the atmosphere here, the second we walked in the door the staff greeted us. They were super friendly and professional at the same time. We placed a to-go order, and a young lady took us to a table with menus to order. She even brought us water to sip on while we looked through the menu. We placed our order, then went for a walk on High Street. Our order taker/waitress came outside to let us know our food was almost done. Oh, the actual chef even came out to greet us! When our food was done it was brought to us immediately. We went home to eat. I got a half pepperoni half capris pizza. It was DELICIOUS!!! I swear, I don’t think I have ever had better pizza in my life! You can tell that it was hand made fresh with love! I ate over half of it until I was STUFFED because it was that good!!! My friend and I Stopped in the other day. Everybody working there was super friendly and helpful. The inside is bright, and colorful. Patio was outside, I had the Paloma, which was delicious, and my friend had a few beers that he really enjoyed. Nice beer menu. We both ordered burgers. The food came out within a good time, however, everything could have been warmer. Burgers and fries were lukewarm. The burgers need the bun warmed, the whole plate needed to be warmer. The plate wasn’t warm which made me wonder if they have food warmers in the window on the line. I mentioned that a cold bun on a burger isn’t doing it any favors to the manager and he said he agrees and will remedy it. Regardless, We still ate every bite. I hope this place does well as we need beer and burgers place with a patio within that block. Despite the hiccups, I would definitely go again to try more food options and explore their beer...
