Such a cute little shop in German Village, the place has like the perfect vibe and coziness of like mom and pop shops. I loveee the atmosphere and the food is amazing too!! We got the Aburasoba and Tonkotsu Ramen. Aburasoba was like amazeballs when you eat it with a little soy sauce and chili oil and the Tonkotsu was perfect just as is! The Chashu is humongo and I love my meats a little fatty so it fit my tastes perfectly. Not to mention, the server was always to my side, makin sure the food was perfectly to my liking all throughout the dinner service. Give it all a try, defs would come back and try the Tsukemen (ran out by the time we arrived 🥲) and the Spicy Miso next time!

Absolute BEST noodle restaurant in Columbus. No one can top this restaurant in terms of the coziness and the quality of the food. The owner and chefs attention to quality is superb and the staff are welcoming and kind. There isn’t a single negative thing I can think of when dining here. We have already came here 3 times and this place never disappoints. Highly recommend this to everyone. Can’t wait to try every single item on the restaurant.

This is the most authentic ramen I’ve ever had in Columbus. It’s incredible that the broth isn’t made from a seasoning packet but from fresh meat that’s been simmered for hours. The portions are generous, and the tableware is beautiful. Honestly, there’s hardly anything to improve—if I had to say one thing as a fan, it’d be that I wish they were open 24 hours, lol.

I recently visited Mizu No Kaori and had the Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen—and wow, it was absolutely excellent. From a flavor standpoint, this place is top-tier. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of depth, and I loved that they keep hot oil on the table so you can customize the spice level to your liking.

My wife loved it just as much—she couldn’t stop talking about how good it was for two hours afterward, and even the leftovers the next day were just as delicious. That says a lot about the quality and consistency of their ramen.

As for the atmosphere, the seating is very comfortable, which makes it a nice spot to hang out. However, since the space is limited, that could slow table turnover a bit. Not necessarily a bad thing—just something for the restaurant to keep in mind as they grow.

Ordering is modern and efficient. Instead of a traditional server, you order using a QR code on your table. Personally, I don’t mind this at all—it’s convenient and fits the youthful, tech-savvy vibe of the place—but it’s good to know before you go.

Overall, The Roman is hands down the best ramen in Columbus, and I’ve tried quite a few spots in town. The flavor, quality, and overall experience will definitely have me coming...
