⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Club 185 – Columbus, OH (German Village) 📍 185 E Livingston Ave, Columbus, OH 43215
I didn’t just visit once. I stuck around — and now they know my order by heart.
Club 185 is one of those places that quietly earns your loyalty. From the laid-back vibe to the dependable food, this spot has made its way into my regular rotation. If you’re looking for a low-key neighborhood bar with high-key flavor, this is it.

🍽️ What to Order • Beer Cheese Fries ($10.50 regular / $7.50 happy hour) → Fries loaded with pot roast, jalapeños, onion, and creamy, sharp cheese sauce. Comfort food stacked up like a meal. Worth planning your whole order around. • Sliders → Pot roast and meatloaf are my go-to. Rich, filling, and no unnecessary frills. Just good food that holds up every time. • Hot Dogs (Wednesday special – 2 for $7.50) → Basic if you leave them plain, but they’re made to be topped — chili, kraut, cheese, etc. Treat them like a build-your-own canvas. • Pizza → Underrated. Customize it however you want — I do pepperoni, sausage, and banana peppers. Crispy-edged, flavorful, and great with an Ace Pineapple cider (on tap for the non-beer drinkers). • Happy Hour (Mon–Fri, 4–7pm) → Small menu, all hits. Quesadillas, shrimp, kettle chips with house onion dip — perfect for sampling or sharing. • Rotating Daily Specials → Fish tacos on Fridays, lasagna on Sundays, shrimp po’ boy (highly underrated). Haven’t tried everything, but I like the variety.

🍺 Vibe & Atmosphere Dim lighting, wood tables, a working payphone, and a bar that knows when to talk and when to leave you be. Come solo or with friends — both feel natural here. The crowd’s a mix of regulars and newcomers, and the staff makes you feel like you’re supposed to be there.
💰 Price Range Most menu items fall between $7–$14. Portion sizes are generous for the price, especially during happy hour.
⏱️ Wait Time Usually seated quickly, even when it’s busy. Food comes out in a reasonable time, and the staff is always moving efficiently.
🪑 Seating Bar seating, booths, and tables. Space can fill up fast, especially after work hours, but there’s usually a seat somewhere.
🅿️ Parking Street parking only — can be tight during peak hours. Be ready to loop the block once or twice.
♿ Accessibility Bar-level entry, but limited maneuvering room inside during busy hours. Not ideal for large mobility devices, but workable.
👧🏽 Kid-Friendly? Technically yes, but this place caters more to adults. Great for after-work drinks, casual date nights, or solo unwinding. Not really geared toward families or young kids.

📌 Final Word: Club 185 isn’t flashy. It doesn’t need to be. What it is — consistent, flavorful, familiar, and the kind of place that remembers your face and your weird slider preferences. That’s reason enough to stay in rotation.

Read moreMy boyfriend and I have been eyeing this place for a while because we live down the street. We finally tried it last night and it didn't disappoint! The vibe is kind of retro and they have a juke box. There is quite a bit of seating and a full bar. There were a lot of young professionals there, seems like that is usually the crowd which is good for us. We both ordered burgers and they were delicious. They were smash burger patties and a double is not too overwhelming. I got the Charles burger with egg on Texas toast and I loved it. The fries are thin cut and after we added a little salt, really good too. My boyfriend had two cocktails (Pammy and something with sour in the name) and I had a beer. He thought the cocktails were good but little sweet for his taste. The service was insanely fast. I don't know if it was the waiter if that's the norm, but we were impressed with how quickly food came out and the refills on drinks. At the end of the night he had our bill on him, easy to go before we even asked. We paid $50 for two burgers, two fries, two drinks and a beer. Overall great experience, will definitely...
Read moreI have to change my review due to the new staff here at 185. I have been a patron at the bar for over 20 years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. You can always count on the food being spot on. You can order something off the menu and come back 3 years later, order the same item and it's just as good as the the last time you ordered it. The new associates that are there currently seem as though they're too good to take care of the guests. No eye contact, they see empty drinks and walk on by, hanging out checking their phone and seem like you're putting them out when you ask for silverware. (Sitting at the bar.) Lol! I thought that maybe when the last time I came in they were maybe having an "off day", but after tonight I see that isn't the case. To the owners/management, I would definitely take time to take a look at what's going on in your establishment. We miss the good ol 185. Thanks.
Update....
That bartender doesn't work there anymore, so the past three times I've been in we have been taken really...
