Where in the name of god do I even beginā¦. At first I was having a pretty good time with my friends until it was time to get drinks. Now trust me itās New Years Eve itās busy I get it and Iām a very understanding person! But why am I standing there for 30 minutes trying to flag SOMEONE down for a drink? And then they are helping other customers that are just coming up meanwhile I was standing there the whole time. I truly felt invisible at this point. Now letās get to the part where it was 5 minutes before the ball was about to drop and I still wanted me and my 3 friends to have a drink. Nick the GM tells me you have to wait Iām busy. I said you know what sure thatās fine. I stood there and he is still serving other people and not me. But still I was patient and waiting. The ball drops and Iām still not being server. It gets about 6 minutes past the ball dropping and he comes back which to I thought he was serving meā¦.NOPE he serves his gf! Me being the type of person I am I speak up for myself so I say to him āhey excuse me Iāve been standing here waiting and she hasnāt can you I get helpā he decides to sayā¦. āHold on my girl friend comes first so youāll have to waitā I am actually standing here BAFFLED cause you never telling a paying customer your girlfriend comes first and not a customer that is beyond insane. I go over to the security and ask to see the manager coming to find out NICK is the GM so thatās just great. I tell him thatās not okay he serves his gf first and not me and he proceeds to tell me āsorry thatās just how itās going to go but you are free to leaveā after that statement I didnāt feel welcomed anymore and before he even said that I was leaving anyways just needed to close the tab! He just starts laughing and then walks away but Iām not sure what was funny about this situation. I assured him I was leaving and to close out the tab which he did then handed me the check. I say all this to say I hope someone higher then Nick or whoever owns this establishment will reply to this review and reach out to me because this place genuinely ruined my New Years for my friends and I. I hope to never come here again and experience the treatment Nick and the staff gave me it was horrible and I donāt wish that on anyone.
Update: I spoke with the Owner Greg and couldnāt be more happier with the conversation! Top tier customer service on his end and I do appreciate the apology! It seems Nick has a great profile and it was just an honest mistake. I genuinely understand things just go wrong but it takes a strong individual to understand where they went wrong and fix it for the future. Overall I did have fun here just besides that one experience but things happen and people make mistakes so I will definitely be coming back to visit!! Thank you Greg for reaching out so fast and canāt wait to visit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Novakās, and I must say, my experience was elevated to an entirely new level thanks to Charlotte, the exceptional bartender on duty. From the moment I approached the bar, Charlotteās warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. She has an incredible talent for making every guest feel valued and attended to, no matter how busy the bar gets.
Charlotteās knowledge of cocktails is second to none. Not only did she craft a perfectly balanced vodka-redbull for me, but she also took the time to recommend some unique options based on my preferences, which turned out to be spot on. Her attention to detail is impeccable; every drink was not only delicious but also presented with such finesse that it was clear she takes immense pride in her work.
Beyond her technical skills, what truly sets Charlotte apart is her genuine passion for her craft and her ability to connect with her guests. She has a rare gift for engaging conversation, making the experience more than just about the drinks. It felt like I was chatting with an old friend, even though we had just met. Itās clear that Charlotte cares deeply about creating a memorable experience for everyone who steps up to her bar.
In short, Charlotte is a gem, and Novakās is incredibly lucky to have her. Iāll definitely be returning, not just for the great drinks, but for the exceptional service and warm atmosphere that Charlotte creates. If youāre visiting Novakās, do yourself a favor and ask for Charlotteāyou wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've travelled all over the world and the entire United States. Of all places, I expected no trouble in my hometown, however I was subject to racism.
My fiancƩ of three years is from Colombia and she was given trouble at one of the doors. The racist bouncer said Ohio does not recognize a passport as a form of identification. A passport is the highest form of identification that trumps any other form of identification. It allows you to travel between countries. We went to the other side where the bouncer let us in no problem. We were then approached by the previous racist bouncer and his racist sidekick (douchebag/manager). They like to act as if they know law to justify their blatant racism. Whether Ohio decides to say passports are not recognized as a form of identification, it does not matter because Ohio receives federal funding. Until Ohio does not receive federal funding it cannot deny federal law.
I will be suing this racist establishment for denying my fiancƩs rights as a documented tourist. I have photos of both the racist bouncer and the racist...
