I cannot say enough wonderful things about Star Jewelers. We began working with them back in 2020 to design my engagement ring. Let’s just say I was picky, and I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted a ring that had antique style details with a unique flair, and they delivered! Rachel, Elaine, and Dennis were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. From educating us, to trying on rings, to designing, then sourcing all of the diamonds, and ensuring every detail was absolutely perfect, the team here (with a tiny bit of help from my husband) created the ring of my dreams. We got engaged on 10/17/21, and married on 10/29/22. Of course we got our wedding bands here as well. I love that they offered a unique selection here so I didn’t ever worry that I may run into someone down the road that has a similar ring to mine. The level of service we received every time we came in was superb. They made us feel so welcome and were very helpful in making recommendations once they learned the style of what we were looking for. My husband and I have been married for almost a year now, and I still stare at my ring every single day and am just as in love with it as I was the first time I saw it. This was honestly the best purchase experience of my life. When I began looking for a ring for my fiance months ago, I began with the chain jewelry stores such as The Diamond Cellar and Dunkin. I found every place I went to be a high pressure sales environment. For any man that has been tasked with buying an expensive piece of jewelry that represents life-long commitment, this is not something that you want to put up with. I found Star Jewelers to be family owned, so I decided to stop in since it is conveniently located in the Short North. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and felt that I was shopping in a relaxed environment. Dennis and Elaine, the owners, not only helped me find what I was looking for, but truly educated me as to what was available. This was very helpful in allowing me to make a smart purchase. With extensive help from Dennis, I was able to select the perfect diamond and setting, and now i'm proud to say that I am happily engaged, planning to get married next year, and the woman of my dreams loves her ring! I must join the many others who rate this place five stars. I stopped in by chance to get my ring size. I had zero expectations walking in, but had my usual feeling of discomfort when I enter high end stores. My friend and I expected to "pop right in and pop back out". We ended up being there at least an hour and I bought two right-hand rings (and he bought cuff links)! The staff (including the furry, four-legged member of the family who lets you pet her) were so friendly. Their customer service is top notch because they're so down to earth. They saw I was warm with my coat on; they offered to take my coat and get me something to drink. They never tried to sell me anything. Rather they let me browse, showed me various pieces, told me about my options, and helped me learn how to translate my personal style to rings (I have always been an earring person). They have one-of-a-kind pieces and there is something for everyone. I also got some jewelry education, which I shared with my boyfriend who is investigating engagement rings :-).
