It's been a while since I've found a restaurant that I can give a full 5 stars to on a review, so I'm excited to share this review! Traditionally my family orders Italian from Brio, Bravo, or Olive Garden... and I was about to do the same today, got my shopping cart complete on uber eats and hit the submit button to place a delivery order for Brio. To my surprise an error came back saying that my address was too far away for placing this order (I'll be leaving another review for uber eats to tell them how frustrating that experience was)!
Well now I was in a dilemma. I had already promised my mother, father, and wife that we would be getting Brio's in an hour. I quickly searched Italian and found Pasta Villa in the results. I saw similar dishes on the menu to those that I had placed earlier, and decided to give it a shot...and not tell my family that we weren't getting Brio today. Trust me you don't want to tell an Indian family that you've messed around with their food order, the wrath will come down on you hard!
The food came in within an hour as was anticipated by the uber eats ETA and I saw my family looking at the plastic bags with a surprise since normally we get the fancy paper bags that have the logo on it... I made up an excuse that they must be out of their normal delivery stuff, and nervously awaited them to try the food. All three family members started talking about how delicious the food was and started debating about how the cook must have changed. They absolutely loved the food! I then took a few bites of all the items we ordered and seriously felt like the food teleported me to Italy!
Had an amazing experience with this restaurant, I called to speak to the owner to tell him how much we appreciated the food and he was super humble and down to Earth! This restaurant is going to become a normal part of my uber eats rotation now and I urge you to order from here when you get a chance, because you won't know what you are missing out on until you try it! By the way, we all had a good laugh after I explained to them that it wasn't Brio! We all agreed we'd go there in person once the pandemic is over. Here is a list of things I ordered and recommend:
Seafood Marcecata Chicken Marsala Proscuitto Portabella...
Read moreOh my goodness. I ordered from this restaurant for the first time last week through Postmates. The prices seemed very reasonable, as compared to other Italian chains and restaurants, so I took a chance. Just WOW.
Ordered fettuccine Alfredo, and it was, hands down, the best I had ever had. Creamy, dreamy sauce, and unlike nearly every other restaurant I've tried, there was plenty of sauce! I ordered a side of extra sauce, as is my habit everywhere else, and I didn't need it! The sauce didn't separate, with butter sitting in the bottom of the container. The fettuccine was delicious -- not dry, not sticking together, but also not slimy -- just really excellent. It was also a nice, generous helping. Also had meatballs, which were served with a bit of their red sauce in the container. Yum. The meatballs were big, juicy, delicious, super flavorful -- everything you would want them to be.
I had been thinking about that awesome meal every day for a week now -- so I had to order from Pasta Villa again tonight! It was just as delicious as last week! I ordered shrimp Alfredo this time, and it came with these huge, plump shrimp on top, that had been marinated in buttery garlicky deliciousness. Even though it (of course) cost more with the shrimp, I still felt that the value and quality are way better than every other Italian restaurant I've had in a very long time.
I picked it up myself tonight because I had to see this place -- and it was just a low-key, unassuming space in the middle of the block. It had warmth, and history, and a friendly owner (I think?) who gave me my food. I can't wait to eat there at the restaurant once this pandemic is behind us, and they are back open for...
Read moreOrdered the spaghetti and meat sauce via uber eats. The description in the menu states the sauce is marinara. When the order arrived it was a vodka sauce with cream which is not listed anywhere in the description. Things like this need to be listed 1. To avoid disappointment because it was disgusting but Many people have dairy allergies/sensitivities and had we known, we would not have ordered it. When I called the restaurant to verify after the order, whomever answered the phone was extremely rude and told me "most people love it, I don't care if you don't like it" which is completely unacceptable when we're taking about major allergens not being listed on menu descriptions. Vodka sauce and marinara sauce are not the same thing. The photo that accompanied the description is also not a cream based sauce. This is misleading and dangerous. You need to update your menu so that people know what they are ordering. $45 dollars down the drain on food that we could not eat
Edit in response to restaurant: I did write to them however, they are not responsible for your as a business owner putting inaccurate menu descriptions on your items. It's solely your responsibility, they don't know what's in your dishes, only you do. Your response shows a complete lack of willingness to take responsibility and blatant disregard for...
