This is not an exaggeration, this is probably the best ramen is the OSU campus area. It can be argued that it may be the best in Columbus- I went in on opening day and was greeted by the owners and the the wait staff. Right now there's a limited drink menu, but that's very minor. I got the Chashu pork bun (2 pieces for $8.50) which was a good appetizer, it was refreshing and light...it definitely set me up for the main course the tonkatsu ramen($16 or $17). A bowl of ramen has not disappeared so fast in my life! The broth 10/10. Noodle quality and quantity 10/10. The perfectly cooked soft boiled egg 10/10. I could keep going about the food.
The ambiance is not bad, I went around 3 PM so not a lot of folks were around. The tables are Japanese style natural wood tables with raw edges (pretty cool in my book), and the shop also features a viewing area to see the noodles being made (I like to see that when shops claim to make their own noodles). There's also the ramen bar area and the drinks bar as well.
TL;DR- IF YOU LIVE IN THE CAMPUS AREA/CLINTOVILLE/UA, YOU NEED TO COME TO...
Read moreWe went for the first time the weekend of my birthday, and the food was amazing. We’ve eaten at a few Ramen shops in the Columbus area, but never found one that we absolutely loved until this location. The service was amazing and you can tell that staff really enjoy giving a great experience as well as delicious food. We had the gyoza and tatsuta-age and were throughly impressed with how tasty they both were. Also, I made the waitress aware of my mushroom allergy and she was diligent and made sure the cooks knew about it. We ate as a family of 4, two adults and two children(4,7), our children spilt the chicken Katsu Ramen and we ate the tonkostu ramen. The food was prepared quickly and was full of flavor. My husband finished the entire bowl, plus the broth. At the end of our meal the waitress gave me and my family a small serving of red bean ice cream and light a candle for me since it was my birthday weekend. She was nice enough to take a picture of us too. We will definitely be back and can’t wait for are next change to...
Read moreVery cool restaurant. Had menu items that I had never gotten to try before. We tried a lot of food and all of it was delicious. The ramen was cooked perfectly, and as someone who enjoys pasta a lot I truly appreciate a good pasta that was not overcooked. The restroom was also very clean and aesthetic. It had a small cute but not overwhelming decorations and an air freshener that smelled very nice. Our server was very polite and kind and patiently helped us and answer our questions very well when we asked about items on the menu we were unfamiliar with. Also has boba that was delicious and not too sweet. The food was very good, the pork was tender, the fried chicken was crunchy and good tasting. Playing call but not sad music that includes piano covers of music and soft love songs that help create the pleasing, calm and happy atmosphere. Overall it was a very nice place, I would recommend this place to anyone that likes Asian or Japanese food and wants a calm place to...
