I ordered takeout since they closed the kitchen at 9 pm even though google says the restaurant closes at 9.30. My arrival time was around 9.10 and asked if I could dine in and they refused. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and there were many empty tables. I requested them if I could just eat the food that I bought inside since it was raining heavily outside and I had a 9 month old baby and my 70 year old grandmother and my parents with me. I was traveling and didn't have any place to eat. The guy at the cash counter was very rude about it as well. To top all that they have an online menu and I placed the orders looking at that. After going to the restaurant they overcharged me for every single item I have ordered. When I asked about the extra charge, the cashier said that he can't do anything about it and he is correct from his pov which baffled me. After 10 minutes of arguing back and forth, he agreed to call his owner and he would let me talk to him. But, after calling he wouldn't let me talk to the owner and was showing disrespectful hand gestures telling me shut up which made me so angry and enraged. The gave me the $8 back that they overcharged in cash after almost 15 minutes of arguing. Coming to the food, I have ordered butter naan, Mysore masala dosa, kadai chicken and onion uthappam. The dosas were very rubbery and tasted like it was made from old batter and we had to throw half of it away. The sambar and chutney were very mediocre tasting and insufficient. The naans were good, but the kadai chicken tasted like it had a little too much turmeric and masala tasted raw. Overall a very bad experience and I regret going to this "Indian" restaurant especially with my parents and my grandma. I would give this place negative rating...

Read moreThis restaurant is perfect for a Date night & something completely different from your standard steakhouse, buffet, or country fixings. I love how bright, clean, an open the restaurant is. It was fun to watch some Bollywood style entertainment on the TV's. The staff, the gentlemen working there have always been so friendly to us & helpful. Genuinely nice. The food is so flavorful. It is not at all bland. Though for my taste palate, mild is the way to go. I would advise new folks to Saffron or Indian cuisine to start out at the Mild level. The entree portions are large enough to share or take home. I recently went and ventured with a new dish called Dum Chicken apart of the Biryani section of the menu. Pretty much multifaceted yellow rice(YUM) with 2chicken legs & thighs hidden(buried in the rice bowl). Not my normal pieces I like, though these were fall off the bone tender. I also enjoy the Coconut Curry. I highly advise going during the week for lunch because it is buffet style and you can explore many menu options. Allows for you to see what's ok and what you Really like. At dinner time, its straight off the menu. We will definitely return as we have...
