I’ve posted a few pho videos lately, and a lot of y’all have been asking who has the best pho, so this was the perfect opportunity to tell y’all my favorite spot. We came from out of town last night, and my wife said she had a taste for pho. So we pulled up to Big Momma Vietnam Kitchen here around 6:30 pm on a Sunday night. We always start with the fried pork egg rolls, we sub the salad for an extra egg roll. We also order the marinated short rib, which is flame-grilled (I believe) was super tender. Even King tried it for the first time and loved it! If King approves, that says a lot. I went with my usual large pho (double shrimp and single chicken), while my wife got all eye round steak. We added the veggies, a little hoisin, sriracha, and chili oil and you’ve got yourself a bowl of GREATNESS. If you’ve never had pho, go check it out and if you’re not sure what to order, just show them this video. Trust me, once you try it, you’ll be hooked. Especially if you’re a ramen or noodle fan. 📍 Big Momma Vietnam Kitchen 5300 Sidney Simons Blvd Unit 14 Columbus, GA 31904 #Foodie #vietnamesecuisine #pholovers #columbusga #creatorsearchinsights

One of our (new) favorite restaurants in Columbus, and definitely the best Vietnamese + Asian restaurant in town. The restaurant is big and super clean. The service (from Pauline) was excellent. She was very friendly, knew the menu, and gave us wonderful recommendations. The food was delicious! It was fresh, the flavors were perfect, and it tasted like they used high-quality ingredients. The wonton soup was amazing. Delicious, savory flavor, with lots of wontons, meat, and veggies. A big portion for an appetizer. The bahn mi was our absolute favorite. The bread tasted freshly baked, the veggies were crisp and fresh, and the meat was well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. The combination pho was great. The broth was very flavorful, and the bowl was loaded with meat and noodles. The combination fried rice was well-seasoned, was packed with meat/protein, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The pork bun was so so good. It was packed with perfectly seasoned pork, fresh/crisp veggies, and noodles. The fish sauce was great as well. Please check this new restaurant out, it’s such a treat!

Overall, a very good experience but quite pricey. The bahn mi came out with a very hot crispy bun and meat fresh off the grill. Some of the meat was slightly burnt but not every piece. It was missing the pate and some jalapeno in the flavor profile. At $9 for one sandwich it is a little overpriced especially considering it does not come with all the typical ingredients. The Vietnamese iced coffee is ok, not the best I've had but not the worst. At $6.50 it is on the higher price side. The combination pho has excellent broth and a ton of meat. My wife ordered a noodle dish that included crispy fried onions, and the onions were soft and soggy. Otherwise a delicious dish with a tasty fish sauce dressing. We paid $60+ for one drink, one app, and two entrees including tax and tip. One of the most expensive Vietnamese restaurants we've eaten at outside of major metropolitan areas. The flavors are great but a few minor missteps and high prices contribute to a 4 star review.

Went tonight Sunday August 13, 2023 and the food was amazing. Introduced some family members to the restaurant tonight and they enjoyed their food. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Columbus.

Went tonight April 23, 2023 and the food was amazing as always. They were packed and the service was slow. Did not get our egg rolls until after we were finished with our meal. Sweet tea was great. Food was delicious.

Absolutely amazing. Got the chicken bun and it was so good. My dad and Oma got a bun meal that had shrimp and pork and they enjoyed theirs too. My Oma cleaned her plate which is abnormal for her. Mom got the steak salad with rice noodles. The sweet tea was not sweet. That would be my only complaint. The restaurant is setup so nicely in its new location. So glad they are back. Can't wait...
