I'm an international student. This place is not for new learners but only for experienced people specially when it comes to masters. They expect students to be experts and had knowledge in that field, focused on adults like 30s or 40s or 50s. Not sure what's wrong with these people. The staff teaches for the sake of teaching, the instructors feel that students know everything and students are experienced people. Some of them are good and want to teach but short timings does not allow them to teach properly. The education quality is being lostš. The academic advisor simply states work with instructor, the instructor tells go to academic if you have a problem. It's a circle. I'm in tears š all my money, I'm putting ton of efforts maintaining my grade. It slowly falling to C grade. There are only 2 classes that too they cover 60-80 slides in 1 or 2 hours. Like how the hell you expect me or any human being to process so much information and chapters. Semesters are like covered in 2 months or 2 months 10 days that's not even 3 or 4 month standard. Assignments after assignments, projects, exams.. It is focused on failing you with harsh grading and confusing questions. Be aware if you're willing to take a risk. Tons of students take a transfer and move to trine university, university of cumbersland, cambersville university and university of Scranton transferred after 1 or 2 weeks of joining rest move after semester 1, barely any students stay. š¤·š» Like what's wrong with you all. Please look graduation rate of university when you join any university. Always remember that and it's very Important. This university has only 35 percent graduation rate that means something. š Be aware of...
Ā Ā Ā Read morenot worth the time or money. curriculum is shallow to accommodate working/busy students. Grades are inflated, and the "hands-on" experience is merely an online module that you complete in person.
you may qualify for grants and scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition, but usually they wont take effect for a couple years unless you're destitute now. So expect to spend at least $30k for what amounts to a crappy high school education.
there is one small library that has a few rooms you can study out of, but for the most part there are no amenities despite a hyper-inflated tuition. And that's even after they reduced tuition.
The teachers are all adjunct except for a few key department heads that are compelled to teach a 100/200 level to fulfill some requirement or bc they couldn't staff the class. Some adjunct are passionate and are extremely effective at their role, but most are burnt out and just as financially destitute as the students.
For this education to have value, you must have someone else footing the bill, whether that be scholarships, company tuition reimbursement, etc. The education is not worth the sticker price.
For your degree to have value afterwards, you must have your OWN network and internships established. Franklin will not provide you much beyond access to connect with Alumni. Zero help with internships, zero help with company networking, zero help with career beyond shallow advice from similar failures.
So to conclude, Franklin University's education has value; if you're not paying for it, already have a career network established, and want to get an easy (but incredibly shallow) degree. For everyone else, it is an overpriced high...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went with this school even tho they have bad reviews because people are harsh, well I should have listened because I wish I would have chosen a different school. With franklin being private and far more expensive you'd think they'd want students and help them as much as they can but they don't at all! I have had nothing but trouble from when I first applied in Nov. 2016. they do not ever reach out to let you know if you're missing information or what to do next. I've waited weeks thinking I have everything completed because I did what they said for registering & financial aide and come to find out way later I am still missing information they never told me I needed to do. for example they let me wait weeks on my acceptance letter because they told me to send my previous transcripts so I did.. waited and waited and NEVER heard anything till I called and they said they were still waiting on a school I had dropped out of. I would have never known to send that one if I didn't call them to see why I hadn't been accepted. and for being a school that works with "working adults" this is the same as the other 2 schools I went to that didn't. I do all online and still have to rearrange my schedule because a class REQUIRES you to be there for a Web conference or class meeting. I am not pleased with...
