Entire restaurant was filthy. Looked like they had been hit by a tornado. Dishes pulled on tables and no where clean to sit. The manager on duty didn't even seem concerned. There were 8+ employees working and only 1 person attempted to try and clean the tables.
Another attempt at this location... they were busy but yet again.... the dining room was a mess. Only 2 servers yet 8 people around the grill area so no reason why the dining should have been a disaster. We wanted a booth but none were clean and stayed dirty as we left. Needed a refill and asked the manager on duty for a refill since he was talking to our server next to the soda machine next to our table..... was told sure give us a minute. The server did a she should've and stopped the conversation to get our refill immediately after the manager said wait. Clearly she has a better understanding of customer service. If only she help from the rest of the store including management. Portions were pitiful for the price. We both left hungry after spending $30 for what seemed like half portions for full price. It will be worth the drive to go to a...
Read moreSkyline is it's own thing. There's nothing really to compare it to. You're going to have to try it to see if you will become one of the Skyline aficionados or a Skyline hater. There seems to be no middle ground.
It's over priced for what you get, it's not fast food but it's not not fast food.
I love Skyline, I raised my kids to love it, and am in the process of getting my grandson on the Skyline bandwagon.
I've NEVER had bad service at a Skyline. All the ones I've ever visited have been clean and, when I've had occasion to use the restroom, they've been clean as well.
You are going to have to try it yourself and figure out if you will be a lover or a hater. It is most assuredly not for everyone.
I recommend the 3 way with cheese on the SIDE for your first time. It pairs great with Dr. Pepper. After your first jaunt you can, if you liked it, venture into 4 ways and 5 ways. But start with the...
Read moreI grew up with Skyline chili. We travel through Columbus maybe 10 times a year and always stop at this location. We like being waited on. Today was St. Patrick's Day and they offered green spaghetti! Just food coloring. For the first time in my memory, they were very light on the chili. We ordered 2 jumbo 4 way bean. So we asked for a little small bowl and were charged for a small chili. Ok, not a big deal. I did mention to the manager how light the sauce was and he said " Really" and never came over, didn't offer to waive the small chili addition and refused to make eye contact. Mary the server was friendly, but went on break during our meal. I'm not complaining, but commenting. Foid was good ( and better with the extra sauce ). Iced tea is always good there. They have Pepsi products and even the server said they prefer Coke. Me too! I have it a 4. Could have been a 5 with any kind of action by...
