I've been to a lot of Starbucks in airports. I'm frankly surprised at some of the other reviews, because that was not our experience at all. Some Starbucks are better than others. Maybe it was the end of a very long day for the staff but here goes: the cashier was fine, but quiet, the male barista seemed nice enough but the third person, an energetic young woman who was doing the frozen drinks, was not. She pulled a bunch of the orders -- and ours, which was very simple, got ignored while a bunch of people who came in after us were served. Finally I went up and asked about the grande latte and the grande mocha, and the guy said, "we can only see whatever is up next and yours isn't up, " then the young woman reached over by the side of the espresso machine and said, "no I pulled a bunch of them already, its here" so he said ok... but went back to what he was already doing. Eventually, we got our simple drinks. By that time, there were a lot of other people waiting, and the baristas were making jokes about tossing orders out into the dining room for lucky patrons to catch, and shortly after that the young woman started announcing loudly over the PA every five minutes that the area would be closing in 30 min... 25 min... etc. Not a good place to sit and drink that coffee you waited so long to get. But they also mentioned that they open at 0430, so maybe they were just punchy after a long shift. I felt kind of sorry for the cashier, the other two clearly had a madcap banter going on that didn't really include her.
Anyway, order fulfillment was slow and off-putting, whatever the cause. And they were out of...

the store was a mess: trash not taken out, dirty, chairs all over the place, cups on the floor they messed up my very basic order took 10 minutes to have a sandwich put in the oven they didnât even give me my lemon loaf until the following occurred: âexcuse me, i ordered a piece of lemon loaf about 15 minutes ago?â (keep in mind the place was nearly empty and workers were just standing around) this lady just stared at me, while the barista, who is supposed to be making drinks, grabs a lemon loaf STILL IN THE PLASTIC BAG, and just hands it to me. This whole time that lady who I talked to first hadnât said anything let alone even looked at me. I said âthank you.â in a snarky tone and left.
I know itâs not crazy things, but when your food costs my left shoe, you have crappy service, are rude, and arenât busy, itâs...
Read moreI rarely do this but this was the warmest, most pleasurable experience at a Starbucks- and at the airport too! Weâre in the Southwest terminal and not only was the staff efficient and kind, but they also checked in on us to see if we needed anything between our order and food coming out. I think it was the manager because she was conducting an interview afterward. But bravo. Iâve been in the service industry for years and itâs rare to feel so taken care of by good people. Give...
