Gone is the best outcome for this particular outlet. All potential customers were done a favor by shutting this one down. For starters, a staff that couldn't care less about service...good riddance! The food was marginal in prep, onion rings swam in oil to the point you could use it in your car as lube. Hamburgers....outside of burning them on the grittle, lacklustre in prep, little flavor other than grease, could use it on wheel axles, the only higher spot were the shakes. It takes forever to prepare one and it is flavorful enough to be satisfying..... I have never had ice cream anywhere else that had ice crystals in it. No, the ice cream wasn't old, it just had little hard crystals as part of the makeup. Now the ambiance........ if I were the manager or owner of this franchise, I would put a bag over my head in shame!! Dirty floors, finger printed booth separators of glass also had baby drool running down...boy the is where I want to eat.........NOT....... stained tabletops, chairs that were sooo lopsided in leg length, every move on them was an adventure..... Am I going to end up on that floor face down?.......The floor....The floor.....I think that a mud floor would carry less hazardous potential......clean....NOT...... Oh....the one star rating.....given to the health inspectors for their speed in getting this pit out of the market! A social side, if this place was allowed to stay open as long as it had under the conditions that it is in......WHY would ANY diner accept eating there??? Makes me wonder.... if society has gotten to the brink of numbness that ANYTHING this agregess has any sway on them..... Wake UPPPP! You have no perception of anything other than superficial!!! The world wastes away and you are...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNormally I donāt write reviews even if the service is bad but this really irritated me. So last time I went to this steak nā shake it was a 24 hour one and now itās not which is fine. But my boyfriend and I pulled up to their drive thru window at 1:42am under the impression that it was still open 24/7. Well we got no response. So we read the sign and I honestly forget what it said for the weekdays but Friday and Saturday their hours are now 10am-2am, and itās Friday night (Saturday morning technically). So we are cutting it close but not so close that it would be impossible to serves us. itās not like we were going to have a big order itās only the 2 of us in the car. So we sat at the drive thru for about 2-3 minutes so we were thinking maybe they didnāt hear us so we went to the the actually window where you pay, again no big deal. And we sat for 3-5 minutes again. Eventually an employee opened the window and my boyfriend asked if they were open. And all he said was no and closed the window and walked away. No explanation of why they would have been closed early nor any āno we actually closed at _ timeā. I am pretty understanding person, I worked in retail for 3 years and now I work in healthcare so I get it stuff pops up. If they would have just put a sign up stating that they were closed early for some reason or if the employee would have taken 30 seconds to correct us on the time or explain why they were closed early I would have been totally satisfied. But instead their unprofessional attitude makes feel like we were blown off for the sake of them being able to be lazy the last 18 minutes of their shifts. I will definitely be making a call in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy review is ONLY for the Hilliard location on Mill Run. At this time ONLY the drive through is open for business. I was keeping my grandkids who live about 1/2 mile from Steak & Shake. We go on walks and have twice 'walked' through the drive thru. Today, we stood and waited and let 2 cars go ahead of us. When there was no car waiting in line, myself and 3 grandkids 9,7,4 proceeded to the window. The manager (?) lady was extremely rude and said it wasn't allowed. There were NO cars behind us at this time. There was NO sign on the order board saying one could NOT walk through. We even tried to order through the board/speaker and no one even responded. The lady said ONLY through app or drive through. (My car doesn't have 3 car seats even if I had my car.) I proceeded to step aside and downloaded the app. It was a chore for me to order as I am 70 yrs old. It took me 45 mins. to even place the order. (while watching 3 energetic kids.) After the kids had finished their meals and shakes, one child wanted another milkshake. The app would not work for me this time and I called Steak & Shake and said we were still in the parking lot, and could I just order another milkshake over the phone? She said "NO" she was busy and there were only 3 employees. I said it's ONLY a milkshake. She then said, " You either have to go through the Drive Thru or order on the app. I said, "I TRIED the Drive Thru and you would NOT let me order." She was very rude and we left w/out the milkshake. This location needs better customer service and a SIGN at the drive thru disallowing one to...
