The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because ty was great. But the food was trash. The kitchen ran out of mashed potatoes and instead of offering something to replace it we were brought our plates with out our food. We all ordered mashed potatoes so our plates were very bare and pitiful looking for presentation. Especially when my meal was potatoes given I got the beef tips. I got steamed veggies for a replacement of my unreceived buttered corn. And the veggies were literally raw. I like fresh veggies and all but that's not what I ordered. The beef tips I ordered rare and they came med well. My husband ordered his ribeye medium rare it came med well. The food and steak were all cold. The gravy already hardened a layer from sitting and getting cold. The critter salad was ordered and the chicken had great flavor. But instead of an actual salad it was mostly lettuce. Herb chicken was good but cold. Sweet potatoes were apparently the best thing served and that was a replacement. Rice was sticky and overcooked. But hot. Ty was great but he was busy and we couldn't order a second round of drinks. So he said he would send over a Manger for our pitiful food. Katherine walks up all fake southern accent and 12 years old looking and acting and asked how we were enjoying our meal... what? Did u forget u had a table to tend to for issues? And when I mean she acted 12 I mean she had no idea how to handle issues. She apologized but it wasn't sincere. And she offered to get us new veggies as ours were nearly untouched.but she asked if we had the kitchen fix our steaks and we said no. The Way our food already came was horrible and we wanted to finish at the same time. Not waited while they fix something they should have already gotten right the first time. She said she would discount our meal but $8 for the bill we had wasn't nearly enough to make up for it. And we weren't given the military discount either. I'm very disappointed. I used to work at a Texas roadhouse. This would have never have flied. Guess thats what the difference is with...
Read moreYou cannot make up the messed up experience we just had at Texas Roadhouse. We showed up at 3:20 PM on Sunday afternoon for them to tell us there was an hour wait for 2 adults, one kid and one baby. So 4 people in total. They will text us. We live less than 5 minutes from the restaurant so we went home to wait. We got the text less than 20 minutes later, so we show up at 3:45PM. We wait for about 5 minutes then they set us. No big. Everything seems fine. Then we wait. We wait for 15 minutes before out waiter comes and introduces himself, and takes our drink order and appetizer. Keep in mind that it is not busy AT ALL, not enough for them to be telling people at the door it's an hour wait for a family of 3.5. It took more than 20 minutes to receive our drinks (one from the bar) and about 30 to get our appetizer of potato skins, which didn't come with a dip at all. The table next to us came in almost 30 minutes after us, had 4 whole people, and at this point had already gotten their food. We still had not taken our food order. It took another 20 minutes AFTER getting our appetizer to take our actual dinner order. WE HAD TO GET OUR FOOD TO GO IT TOOK SO LONG!! Then when the waiter told us they were putting our food on a tray, it took him 15 minutes to get it boxed because we couldn't stay any longer because of the baby. The people who got there after us left before we did! AND THE ORDER WAS WRONG! We got the wrong 2 meals, and Our steaks were cooked wrong and incredibly unevenly, the shrimp was overdone to the point of being hard and inedible. At that point we were so frustrated we just didn't bother with it and left. So 2 tables who came in after us got their food before we even ordered. One table who came in after us left before we even got our food. And they STILL got the order wrong! How does that happen?! It wasn't even busy! And there was like 1 waiter per 1 to 2 tables! So yeah. I love Texas Roadhouse, but we will not be going back to...
Read moreThis evening, we arrived at 6:00 pm to have dinner with our friend who was already seated. Our server was Taylor. Our friend ordered pork chops, and my husband and I ordered Prime Rib. Our friend was very satisfied with his pork chops. My husband and I both ordered our prime rib to be cooked "medium." However, when we received our plates, we immediately asked if the red meat was considered to be medium cooked? Taylor replied , "Yes." Our friend said that the meat on both plates was raw. Because there wasn't any blood on our plates, we took the chance of eating it. However, we truly would have preferred to have our meat cooked longer. I finished most of my prime rib, but my husband just couldn't finish it. I took a photo of his prime rib that he didn't eat. We boxed it up to bring it home so that my husband could finish cooking the meat and eating it tomorrow. There was a young lady, service manager I think who came to our table asking if all was okay. We asked her if our prime rib was cooked "medium?" She said that she didn't know but asked if we wanted a man from the kitchen to come to our table. We said no because we had eaten our sides and would soon be leaving. When we got home, my husband asked our daughter if the meat was cooked. She is a food inspector for the US Army. When she saw the meat, her response was, " No and that it was RAW! I rated our visit with 5 stars because we had a great server, and the atmosphere was awesome. Our friends pork chops dinner was perfect for him, but our prime rib dinners failed to meet our expectations or satisfaction. We will return again sometime but will not ever...
