Wow!! Thatâs really all I can say about our piss poor experience last night at this location and this used to be the only one we would normally go to!!! Where do I even begin; from the hostess with the mostess (well or at least she thoughtđ) putting our name to the side and having us wait for an hour and ask about a table I know of at least 3-4 times feeling as though we were forgot about since we were seeing people being sat that came in after us to where it ended up being obvious that we were being skipped over intentionally that when we asked again 1 hour later they simply pulled our name from a side pile of little papers and took us straight to our booth??!!! đ¤, to getting to our booth that one side was still very very clearly wet and anyone with a brain wouldnât sit there themselves so we patiently waited for our waitress to come around so we could ask if we could get that dried so that me and the two kids could sit down since they noticed it too, then you have the bus boy griping about having to do his job right in front of us since he apparently did such a piss poor job the first time and he had to come back he was upset with us and made that known right in front of us and the kids, cursing and carrying on with himself to where he should have been probably sent home for the day to cool off as that was very unprofessional on his part like I said just wipe it down the first time correctly and you wouldnât have had to come back because NOBODY WANTS TO SIT ON A WET/DIRTY BOOTH SEAT AT A RESTAURANT, then there was the ding dong manager comes around who clearly lets her staff run the show there and she says I know it doesnât help but I am sorry about everything and she doesnât try to make it right and we just mainly wanted her to know about the bus boys poor behavior especially because we had children with us and thatâs all she could say!!!!! I have never felt so unwanted and mistreated when going to out to eat like I did the entire time as I did at this Texas Roadhouse!! Almost to where we felt we were discriminated against is how we felt at this location specifically. And then you got the waitress Julianna that was like a dry piece of toast and just blended right on into the whole crappy situation but then the icing on the cake from her was at the end of the night when bringing my change to our bill, she brings it and lays it on the table, doesnât say anything, Doesnât make eye contact pretty much like she didnt do most of the night no conversation no have a good night, No nothing!!! Lays it down really quick and walks off quickly!! We are not rude people and know how to treat people just to add that as well!! You would think someone who bases their earnings on tips would go out of their way to be a little nicer, but she did not care. She just added to our horrible experience. I still tipped her because Iâm a decent human being even though she could not be a decent human being to make our experience a little better! And the manager for this location, you need to do better and obviously retrain your employees on basic morals and basic customer service we were still very nice and treated your employees with respect because it couldâve went sideways, but we had children with us and like I said we still know how to treat people!!Especially when youâre going out to eat and pay for services and not so Cheap services at that!!!! You expect to get a little bit better service than we got!!! Do better Texas roadhouse especially at this location so needless to say we wonât be going back to this one ever...
Read moreThe manager working at this location doesn't seem to know how to speak to a person normally. Super condescending with no reason to be, which is very unprofessional.
I have a coupon for a free app. Was ordering online but during checkout had some issues with it loading, so I refreshed the page. When I did, their site didn't save my cart. It was a little annoying to have to enter everything all over again, but not that big of a deal. Issue was when I went to enter the coupon it said it was already in use in another transaction, but I didn't have access to that transaction because their site crapped out. So I called.
Nice girl picked up. I explained the situation normally and she talked to me like a normal person in return, then said to hold up while she got a manager. I assumed it was because you'd need one to free up my coupon for use. Well this woman gets on the line, and if she isn't the meanest person I've ever heard. You'd think I ran over her cat or something. Talked to me the way a mom talks to a child when they're being bad, expect I'm not her kid I'm just a customer asking for help.
In the rudest most condescending tone she gets on the line and says "If a coupon's been used it's gone." I was shocked she answered that way, but assumed she misunderstood the situation, so I explained "I didn't use it yet I wasn't able to check out with it because I had to refresh and the site didn't save my cart." Except before I could even fully finish she cut me off and said "You already entered the code, so it's gone."
I asked what to do from there. Told her I can send the screenshot of my e-mail so she can see it's not expired and can enter the code herself to see it's stuck in a transaction, not used. As if I was being the most unreasonable person she just kept saying I already used it. Except I'm calling because I hadn't gotten to use it yet and was trying to. I asked "So if your systems have issues someone just doesn't get to use your coupon?" And she kept repeating as if I were stupid that if you put it in, it's gone, even if you didn't check out yet. Nowhere does the site warn you of this when you enter the coupon, by the way, but she said it like it was obvious. Plenty of other sites are smart enough not to have that happen, so it's the first time I ran into a site like that.
I get your site works that way, ma'am. I'm past that and now asking common sense questions like what I can do to use the coupon I got that I haven't used yet by any reasonable standard of the word "use." And sure it was annoying to be told "too bad, so sad", I'm more upset someone said it to me like I'm not a grown human being instead of not being rude and condescending. Just talk to people normally. I get your job is stressful - I was in food service, too - but it really costs nothing to just be nice to people who haven't done anything but be...
Read moreMy nephew graduated from high school last weekend and chose Texas Roadhouse for a celebratory lunch with his family. Our group of 12 arrived at the East Main Street location in Columbus, Ohio at Noon on Saturday, May 21 after calling ahead since the restaurant does not accept reservations.
Upon arriving, we were told by the Greeter and Manager that our party would have to be split and sit at two separate tables due to a lack of staff. We agreed but did not realize that meant the two booths would be on opposite ends of the restaurant. Realizing this, we asked the waitress if it was possible to be relocated next to each other so our family could still celebrate my nephew together even though the tables were not connected. Each of the original seating locations had several open booth options on all sides in addition to tables that could have been combined to create one seating for 12 guests.
Each server was agreeable to us relocating to an adjacent booth but said they would need to speak with the Manager. Unfortunately, the Manager was not agreeable to this change â even after both waitresses said they could absolutely handle serving our entire party of 12. My nephewâs mom and dad explained the situation again to the Manager who seemed to become annoyed and stated the servers could not handle taking care of us and they already had assigned tables. The majority of the restaurant was vacant at this time. The Manger did not attempt to accommodate our party of 12 adults in any way and basically said if we didnât like it, we could leave. This is exactly what we did.
We did have a very nice meal at Outback Steakhouse located nearby. After the Hostess took a few minutes to confer with her team about the size of our party â as they were also short staffed â she happily accommodated our group by rearranging tables so we could all sit together for a proper celebration. Our server and their entire team did an excellent job in delivering excellent customer service. The server even asked if weâd like him to take a photo of our group to commemorate the occasion.
Everyone in my party understands restaurants â and every other industry â are faced with staffing challenges. However, that does not mean customer service should suffer. The Managerâs lack of empathy and uncaring approach to our request was unacceptable. Out of all the restaurants available, my nephew chose Texas Roadhouse to celebrate his high school graduation, likely the biggest accomplishment of his young life. Your restaurant should have viewed this as an honor, not a nuisance. We sincerely appreciated the serversâ ability to recognize the importance of the day and willingness to accommodate us. Itâs unfortunate their attempt to provide good customer service was prohibited by...
