Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Columbus

I waited two weeks to write a review as I reached out to both the restaurant and a regional manager and neither have responded.

On November 4th, 2023 my wife and I had a party reserved for 40 guests. Keep in mind, I reserved this in April 2023 and called the week prior to the date to make sure that all was still good.

Upon arriving, not only were we seated late, but they made us aware that 15 of our guests would be sitting at a long table and the rest in the surrounding booths. We had picked this particular location because they had promised all of our guests would be seated together - I made it known how of importance this was for us during the original reservation. This was a wedding celebration for us. We had many guests coming from out state who would be meeting new people and due to the seating arrangement, it was impossible to mingle and get to know each other.

Furthermore, so many of us had incorrect orders or cold fold. Many of the guests who ordered steak got theirs not cooked correctly. Two of our guests ordered alfredo and there was zero sauce in the noodles... it was just buttered noodles and shrimp. One table received FOUR things of mac and cheese because they were giving them other peoples orders. Not a single server asked to refill out drinks while we waited for our food; I had to ask for a refill then suggested he do the entire table because I noticed that we were all empty. In addition to this, they forgot many peoples side dishes. My wife didn't get her fries, my father didn't get get mac and cheese, and one of our guest had ordered a side of vegetables that he did not receive.

Which brings me to my next point; when our guest mentioned the forgotten side, the server brought them out and slammed them on the table. The servers were severely disorganized and had no idea which tables were our guests or not. Which, I understand considering we were spread among that entire side of the seating area. They got everyone's receipts mixed and had peoples orders with other peoples orders who they were not even seated with!

I came here because through my job I won a gift card. And it's my birthday Month so thought I'd treat myself out. I had to steak and chicken. The steak was it tasted a little either left out or old. Just a sense of that like it wasn't the best quality that little beginning to spoil taste was there. The pasta was not well seasoned. It was very fatty, very milky creamy tasting no seasoning. But the service was awesome and I expected maybe a piece of bread or something to a company. My meal. I guess that's extra. Which is fine but it left something to be desired to just have the pasta. I'm experienced a similar meal with Applebee's which was very well. Seasoned came piping hot and I was a better experience than having the steak here. Just being honest but as I said the staff and services great. This is my first time at outback. I know there aren't many of them and just a little salt. Probably the little seasoning would have helped the experience quite a bit. It was just noodles seemed out the box like rice a Roni. Also, currently the map reports that it is as busy as it gets. This is the Saturday of the Penn State OSU football game. This practically no one here so consider that. Also, coming from the perspective of the disabled person, there was at least one disabled space available, but considering it's a low crowd that may be a bit challenging during busy times. I waited 10 minutes and was ready to leave but my daughter kept wanting to stay. I literally waited 30 minutes I even tried to walk into the kitchen entrance way but my daughter pulled me back because she know no one not allowed in the kitchen and all I was going to do is yell in there that you have customers upfront that need to be seated! It was not until another family came in with three kids that someone finally came up to assist looked over me and ask them how many and the lady had to tell them that I was here first. I’m literally in front of her so rude I asked to speak to the manager.! The manager said he was sorry that happened. This is his first day blah blah blah! I told him I think there’s a couple people you seriously need to fire and he didn’t say anything I was serious because that Hostess was blatantly, rude and disrespectful and even when she realized I was first she didn’t even apologize. She just walks off with the menus, so am I supposed to follow you or not? Now at table and I asked my waitress to speak to the manager! finally got my salad and then I got my dinner and then I felt like I was getting sick by time I got to the car I threw up my salad and my steak! I still have my chicken I think I’m going to take it in to see if it’s not spoiled/ or food poisoning , because the baked potato when I got home later that night I try to eat it and it was over cooked like it may have been heated up from yesterday.
