On Saturday, we held an event at the Top Golf Columbus location. Of all the different types of events that can be held there, we weren't sure if what we were asking could even be done, as we wanted a GENDER REVEAL for our Son & Daughter-in-law, But boy were we wrong & in a big way. Not only could they do it, it was BEYOND WHAT WE EVER EXPECTED NATALIE was our event planner, she helped me plan everything from the best date, time & way to hold it, how to work with the # of guests in bays, a light show for the gender reveal part, helped pick the best menu choices out of the multitude of options, she answered any calls, emails, concerns & questions I had immediately, the best part was she made recommendations to make sure we stayed on our expected budget, even after up sizing the number in our event. I highly recommend talking to her for any event needs. Upon arriving our guests were warmly greeted in the lobby w hosts holding Personalized signs for our event. They even helped carry our personal things up to our event bays but their excitement for our event was truly energizing. Each event bay was already prepared with our guests information in advance to be able to start playing right away. The food buffet was elegantly set up awaiting food to be served & drinks were ready to go right away. We were amazed at the set up, they also had balloons & personalized signs on each of our bays with large letters aligned spelling out "BABY FEAVER" We were greeted by 3 of the most amazing staff members of the night, ALYSSA, DEANNA & JORDAN ALYSSA & DEANNA were introduced as our hostesses for the evening but they became much more than that. These 2 beautiful young ladies worked their tails of all night long to meet every little need of each & every single guest. There wasn't a hiccup at all in any of their services. Drinks were kept refilled & cold, Alcohol orders were served right away & with recommendations, they had Appetizers served in each bay fresh upon arriving, as the hot food came out they set up a beautiful display of on the buffet, they kept used plates cleared leaving no messes so fast it was truly impressive, they truly met every crazy need of each of our guests all while making the Mommy & Daddy to be a head priority & truly feel like the center of their attention. They are truly an asset for Top Golf to have on their team! I have to admit I was hesitant about the food & it's quality but after what we were served I can honestly say it was definitely unfounded. Definitely want to give the chefs a shout out. The food they prepared for our chosen menu was BEYOND FANTASTIC! It was hot, fresh, beautifully presented, proportioned above what was expected & truly delicious, even for the picky eaters we had. Definitely deserve recognition for exceeding expectations! JORDAN, has a lot to be proud of with the service his staff provided. It definitely shows he is an excellent manager. He made himself available for any needs & promised to make it a memorable event for them. Boy did he deliver on that promise. Their theme was Guns n Roses & he kept to their theme for a fantastic & fun light show reveal. As time approached he made sure everyone was together & ready, telling us how things work on his horn, joking & playing with our guests & parents to be but he also managed to capture the attention of not only our guests but the entire facility, asking for cheers on which will it be TEAM GUNS or TEAM ROSES. ROSES win the cheers, he holds the countdown 54321 for our Son to strike the ball, anticipation building waiting to see what color the field lights up BLUE IT'S A BOY!!! The reaction on my son's face was beyond priceless OUR EVENT AT TOP GOLF EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS IN EVERYWAY POSSIBLE! Thank you for providing a truly exceptional memory...
Read moreI recently visited Topgolf Columbus for what was supposed to be a fun, social outing. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by an incident that I can only describe as racially motivated and deeply disrespectful.
While enjoying our time at the bay—which, like all others, was crowded—I was approached by a manager named Danny . He initiated the interaction casually, but his true intent quickly became clear: to tell me I was violating a rule by standing outside of the golf bay. The issue? Everyone was standing around due to overcrowding—yet I was the only person singled out, and I happened to be the only Black individual in that area at the time.
I had noticed Danny watching me earlier and paid attention afterward. He didn’t speak to a single other person about the same “violation,” despite numerous guests standing in the exact same way. Troubled by the encounter, I requested to speak with him in private and calmly explained how his actions felt discriminatory and targeted. He claimed he’d spoken to others—which I know to be untrue—and then offered a weak justification: that he approached me because I “looked like the big dog of the group” (which was composed entirely of white guests besides myself). That statement only reinforced my discomfort and disappointment.
Rather than acknowledging the issue or apologizing, he doubled down, and not long after, I saw him huddled with security and staff, clearly watching me. The intimidation tactics were blatant and inappropriate.
What kept me from walking out that moment was our young server, Daniel H.—who was welcoming, professional, and attentive. I didn’t want to penalize him for someone else’s misconduct. Later, another manager named Rick approached me and was kind and respectful. I’m unsure if it was a coincidence or a response to what had happened, but his demeanor was a breath of fresh air.
This experience was disheartening and embarrassing for me and my wife, but I’m proud of how I handled it. I’ve traveled, worked in leadership, and interacted with people across all walks of life—and what I encountered at Topgolf Columbus was unacceptable. Every guest deserves respect, regardless of race. Unfortunately, the undertone at this location sends a very different message to African-American patrons.
Topgolf Columbus: you must do better. You never know who you’re speaking to, what they represent, or what reach they have. Equality and respect should not...

please be warned. They’d say they prioritize walk-ins over reservations for floors. if you make your reservation on a busy night, you will be on the bottom floor. This is from a manager and the front clerk.
I have been to this top golf many times with friends and my children.
My wife and kids for Father’s Day got me gift card for $50. So tonight I thought it would be a great night to take my wife and have a date night. Little did I know it would be the worst experience I have ever had there.
First I reserved a time for 7:30pm used the giftcard at the reservation. Called the location and asked if I could be on the 3rd floor. He asked for my reservation and said yes have it noted on your account.
When we arrived I went up to the check in and asked why we were on the bottom floor. The lady told me that all reservations are put on the first floor and there is nothing that she can do to change it, but if I wanted to be a walk-in, she can note the account but their is a 3 hour wait. I asked can we wait and get moved up she explained no unless I wanted to wait the 3 hours and would be forfeiting my reservation.
I was already a little upset, but I wanted to go hit some balls. Our server came up got our order but never my wife’s drink for over 30 minutes then apologize twice for the two hours that we were there my drink was only refilled once.
When cashing out I went to go use a coupon and the waitress said she could not use it without a manager. When the manager came over, she said that the coupon that I was using for $15 off was not a giftcard and can’t be used unless it’s for gameplay. so I just looked at her and said don’t I still have a balance of gameplay left? her response was yes, so I’m gonna apply it to that. To me I was not sure why she first said she could not use it, but then used it on the gameplay.
Some of the worst interactions management and Service I have ever had. I do not think that I will be returning anytime soon
The reason I do not like the bottom floor is because it does not register your balls after you hit it. I hit 3 balls and not one registered. My wife hit so many and nothing. That is why I asked to be moved.
But please be warned. They’d say they prioritize walk-ins over...
