Torchyâs Tacos is hands-down one of the best spots Iâve been to in a long time. Let me start by saying, the breakfast burrito I had was nothing short of life-changing. Whoever thought of wrapping all that deliciousness in one perfectly toasted tortilla deserves a medalâor at least a standing ovation. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it hit all the right notes.
Now, letâs talk about their $5 mimosas on the weekends. Seriously, who doesnât love affordable day-drinking options that donât skimp on quality? These mimosas were strong enough to keep the party vibe going but still classy enough to make me feel like I had my life together.
As for the bartender, absolute fire. This person didnât just mix drinksâthey crafted experiences. Friendly, attentive, and had the kind of energy that makes you want to keep coming back. Plus, they had my drink in front of me faster than I could finish saying âIâll have another.â
The atmosphere? Vibrant, fun, and just the right amount of lively without feeling chaotic. And letâs not forget the peopleâthe crowd here was a mix of locals and visitors, all there to enjoy great food and good vibes.
Torchyâs Tacos isnât just a meal; itâs an experience....
Read moreMy boyfriend as I were having a late night craving for Mexican and got some Torchyâs delivered. There was a lot of hype and it was such a letdown. I had a carnitas taco (green chili pork taco) and it was like $6.5-7 for a normal size corn tortilla taco. It was extremely bland and try. I tried it without sauce at first and it was so dry it stuck to the roof of my mouth. I added some of their avocado sauce and then that was the only thing I could taste. You could go to any other authentic Mexican place in town, like Los Guachos right down the street, and pay like $2-3 for the same kind of taco, only tasting a thousand times better.
I also got a half order of hillbilly queso and chips, which is queso with chorizo and guac on top. Again, disappointing. You don't taste the chorizo, except the spice it added, and the guac doesn't offer much either. My boyfriend got a beef burrito and said it was OK at best.
I don't think I've ever spent this much on a taco, and for $7 I expected to to blow my socks off. Instead, it's probably the blandest taco I've ever had. It's really close by so I was hoping it'd be a new favorite place, but no way I'm going back....
Read moreJason and his staff provided an outstanding experience for us! All of the employees seemed genuinely pleased to be hard at work and proud to serve the meals they brought to the table. The food was delicious and the bathrooms immaculate. We were there for breafast and each had the migas taco..we plan to go back for lunch to try some of the other offerings. These are full sized tacos, not little street tacos, and they are stuffed full of goodness. Highly recommend the churros and choc. chip cookie desserts if you have room. Also appreciated the separate menu highlighting gluten friendly choices. The reason "atmoshere" only received 4 stars was because it was chilly and the music was too loud. I'm certain if we had asked, the helpful staff would have turned up the heat and turned down the music, but we 3 "mature" ladies didn't want to diminish the other patron's experience with our requests. Don't get me wrong, we ate and chatted for several hours and enjoyed every minute of it! We...
