Wendy's — Restaurant in Columbus

Horrible service. None of the employees are ever friendly but the service is usually somewhat quick so I don’t complain. But this time was ridiculous. The car in front of us waited at the speaker for at least 10 min without anyone acknowledging them. They had to shout “hello” to get help. Then we pulled up and waited several minutes before saying hello, to which we got no response. Several more minutes and more hello attempts, someone finally came on. Then we got to the window and asked if everything was okay cause it was just painfully slow and awful service and the man ringing us out just rolled his eyes and made a face at us. Mind you, he’s sitting there doing absolutely nothing because the food isn’t coming out so the line isn’t moving so he’s not ringing anyone else out but he’s not taking orders. Today my kids and I had the best meal experience we've ever had at a Wendy's, and maybe even fast food period. The younger dude at the register was really attentive, energetic, and polite. He got the order right (a rarity these days) so that was great. The quality of the food was excellent, it was "made with love" as we say. Even during our meal after the rush died down, the young man was asking patrons that were seated if everything was okay. Now, I was pretty mad at this point because although the food was delicious the fountain drink machine was out of its Coke products and getting a fountain Diet Coke is like 80% of the reason I enjoy these places. I told him that everything was great but that they were out of Coke. Within minutes he'd opened up and loaded the machine with the syrup and I was able to snag a Diet Coke before I left.
