It was a cold and dreary evening. My best friend and I had been disappointed by being denied entry to private dancer dispite being kind and respectable young women and were looking to drown our sorrows in some cheeseburgers.
We excitedly pull up to a 24 hour McDonald's downtown, it's glowing Golden Arches calling out to us. The voice cracks through the speaker box "sorry we are only serving drinks". My mind struggles to grasp this concept... but these arches.... They stand for burgers and fries and my freedom to chow down.... We pull off with tears welling in our eyes. Tonight is not our night.
But we will not be defeated so easily. On to the next McDonalds! Only one mile away we can turn this around yet! Upon entering the still glowing drive through, a hungry and defeated old woman informs me sweetly that this location is in fact closed. Not again. Our hunger is intensifying, mouths watering and hearts crying out for a juicy burger.
One last hope... A castle made of white shines down the dark and empty street. Can we make it? Or will we again reach for the stars only to fall back to earth, burgerless and broken-hearted?
We pull up, the tiny dented speaker box silent for what seems like an eternity, then a squeak of hope breaks through the void "please look over the menu we will be with you soon". An angel riding down from the cheeseburger clouds to help us at last! My friend and I embrace and cry out in joy! At last!
The sweetest man greets us at the window, his smiling face soothes my soul like the caress of a mother. A stranger in any other scenario, he is our guide, our savior for the night. He is glad to give of any sauce we please and comforts us with terms of endearment, a sweet soft cadience in his voice. We have at last made it. Made it to our destiny. White Castle...
Read moreLove this location! It's a dimond in the rough! Wonderful people work here.... Very fast drive thru... It's normally a very clean Establishment: until the people in the community trash the place all the time! They will throw thier trash all over the parking lot! To lazy to walk or go back around at the drive thru and use that trash can avail to them 24/hrs a day 7 days a week! But no; they would rather be evil and lazy! Not So responsible concerning their actions... But rather point the finger/ blame the extabishment! I litallly have sat in my veh all nite long and watch this behavoir over and over again! The staff has done everything to keep this busineess very clean! They are worn out/ tried to even do so at times... Because if they cleaned all day long they would never. have the time to make sales! REMEMBER: Some where in life we must all grow-up and take responsibility into are own hands! You want a nice home then get up everday and keep it clean! Your ( Mother Doesn't Work Here! ) And nobody is meant to be your slave! It takes team effort to all have a mind-set to see something like a fast food rest to look and stay clean! A reflextion on you all in this...
Read moreI really got to find a place to live because my biggest issue is I was evicted over my disability. Despite it being against the federal housing act. The Franklin County municipal Court would not process the case as it was a disability discrimination case which is a violation of the federal housing act. The legal aid society supported it and most of all green quarters LLC demanded it multiple times and eventually they gave him what he wanted. So if it wasn't for that fact, I would not have to visit so many fast food restaurants and make reviews about my experiencing there Consequently, I've been relying on fast food restaurants for meals. Unfortunately, my experiences have been consistently disappointing. Yesterday, for example, my sausage egg and cheese sandwich lacked cheese. This is after multiple instances of getting very very very old eggs on my sandwiches , As a homeless individual, dining out is my only option for hot meals, and it's disheartening when orders are consistently incorrect. I hope to soon have stable housing and cook my own meals, but until then, I simply ask for accurate service...
