Had a birthday lunch at Mama’s Cafe, and let me tell you, if this is what getting older tastes like, then bring on the gray hairs and back pain.

I ordered the carne asada, and it did not disappoint. Grilled strips of steak that were so tender, my knife basically took the day off. It came with a cheese enchilada, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, beans, and three tortillas. At one point I caught myself smiling at the plate like we had history.

Then the waitress found out it was my birthday and brought out a slice of cheesecake that looked like it deserved its own spotlight. Whipped cream, strawberry syrup, and just enough chocolate drizzle to make me feel fancy. It tasted as good as it looked, and yes, I considered licking the plate clean but remembered I was in public.

Service was excellent. Friendly, fast, and nobody judged my enthusiastic tortilla consumption.

If you’re looking for good food and a great experience, this place is...

I went here with my 93 years old mother and my 70 years old brother. The food was good but the service was poor. The young lady that took our order never came back to our table, instead, this man came from behind the counter and spoke to my brother kind of rough. We had our meal and my brother went to pay while I was getting my mother ready to leave. She is in a wheelchair. After my brother paid, the man threw my brother's credit card at him and it landed on the floor. I belive he is the owner. We haven't been back since. He was very rude. He must have felt that my brother deserved to be treated badly however I didn't see anything done wrong on our part. We don't do repeat business with people that behave like that. This happened sometime in August of 2024. I just happened to see Richard Ortega's post and was reminded of our bad experience so I wanted to share it...

The food was pretty good. The place is just very dusty/ dirty. I sat on a booth next to a window where the booth was very dirty with big stains of who knows what. Booths are basically falling apart and the windows are full with food crumbs and the blinds are very dirty with food stains. There was a lot of fruit flys everywhere, I had to get my drink changed twice because they kept on getting in. Seems like the waiter got mad at me regarding getting my drink changed, made me feel like If I was doing it on purpose. Customer service needs improvement and this restaurant really needs a good deep clean and for sure an upgrade on the tables/...

What a wonderful experience! We live nearby but somehow missed this absolute gem. I came in and explained to our waiter in Spanish that my Spanish was not very good, but that I’d love to try if that was alright, and he was so sweet! The staff would gently correct if I said the wrong word and made sure I stuck to Spanish for the rest of the meal and were so absolutely sweet about it. I’m leaving with a huge smile on my face and I can’t wait to come back. The food, of course, was incredible and the prices were amazing to match. We will be regulars from now on, no doubt about it!

Walked in hungry left nice and full so i had the french toast combo bacon was nice and crispy eggs where cooked perfectly over medium French toast looked amazing all powdered up and full of that golden nectar also called butter hash however are basically fried potatoes so if you like the shredded ones like me you won't like these fried super soft and is half the reason for a 4 star and not a perfect 5 the syrup is the other half tasted funny not bad just off to me other then that great spot would eat there again for sure
