Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Concord

After the many times we have been coming here, today we had many complications. Firstly, the service of the waitress was terrible due to not regularly checking on us to see if we were ok with drinks or food, and then walk away when we were trying to speak to the waitress of our needs. Secondly, discrepancy between the cost of the same meal with a outdated menu to a new menu. Along with this, after we brought this to their attention, they began to give out the new menus to customers. Thirdly, when we were communicating about the prices, we asked why the menus wasn't updated, and their excuse was because the system wasn't updated, so they used the new menus prices for the cost. In fact, they were off Mondays, so why did they not updated the prices before opening or wait until the following Monday besides changing it while being open. In other words, they want to get more money out from us then the actual prices. Don't get me wrong though, the food is amazing! However, the management and service...

We came from the west coast and have had a hard time finding good ethnic food in the Charlotte area. Well, now we have at least found one good place to go. This is the best Mexican food we have had so far in this area. It's different than the west coast, but very good just the same. We loved our food. Very flavorful. I had a monster margarita, which was fantastic as well. The service was great (shout out to Manuel in the bar area). Very friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to answer our questions about the menu and offer good suggestions. The atmosphere was nice. There are different areas you can sit depending on your style and preferences (booths, tables, bar, etc). The only thing was it was a little warm and humid inside. Not hot, not real uncomfortable, just a little warmer than we would have liked (thus the 4 stars for atmosphere).

Very disappointing. Food is subpar. Service wasn't good.

We ordered lunch plates (pointed to what we wanted and said lunch plate) and were charged for dinner plates. We politely pointed it out to our waiter and the manager came and spoke to us. He said we were given dinner size plates and it was our fault for not catching it and sending it back to the kitchen. He said he wouldn't change the price of both of the meals. We had never been here before and didn't know what size the plates were supposed to be. I'm confused by how we are at fault.

A couple dollars difference is not a big deal to me so we just paid it, but I was disappointed by the condescending and defensive approach that the manager took. Either way the food wasn't as good as other Mexican restaurants in town, so the interaction sealed the deal that we wouldn't be...
