Checkmate Pizza — Restaurant in Concord

Usually a very good place to get food period tonight not so much. It started off with it being told that my food would only take 10 minutes or so a couple of grinders. 20 minutes later when I showed up they hadn't even started them. I understand places are busy, I actually working in the industry. But to tell me 10 minutes and I show up 20 minutes later and my food hasn't even been started is not okay. Lot of confusion very busy which I understand but a lot of confusion then I see my food getting ready to be made and there's cheese on it. My daughter has an allergy I specifically asked for no cheese. So now I have also been standing there for almost 20 minutes and the food's wrong. Kept saying I'm sorry I'm sorry we're very busy I'm sorry I'm sorry. Well sorry doesn't cut it for me when he should clearly have not brought me there that early. Was I compensated 20% off my next order well if my next order was like tonight's order at $16 that's $3.20 I get. I think my half an hour of waiting there was worth more than $3.20 I think my next set of Grinders should have been free. Then on top of it I get home and everything's cold. Ordered a sandwich and some chicken tenders online at 3:30 for a 6:45 delivery. at 6:47 I got an email that my order was "Out for delivery". At 6:50 I called the store to confirm that the order was actually on it's way. I was assured that it was.

At 7:15 I called again. Apparenty they are late so often that they have software on their phone system that recognizes a second call from the same number, as I got a voicemail that I was being connected to a manager. The manager assured me that they were VERY busy, and that he had been sending out late orders all day, and that I would have to wait like everybody else. When he offered me a discount on my next order I assured him that there would never be a next order and hung up.

The store is 3.8 miles from my house, and they finally delivered my stone-cold food at 7:39, 56 minutes late. The driver had even more self-serving excuses than the manager.

Their food is good, unless it's deivered cold. If you order for a delivery at a certain time, order it for an hour early.

I'll never get fooled by these...

Called to place an order.... the person read it back to me as I had order... correctly and gave me my order total! When I got there I was told that the order was $7 more! I said I'm not paying more because my order was incorrect! Oh we will give you 10% off. I said no how about you make my order correctly and I'll pay for what i order. I was told by the mgr..Mgr... who made my pizza that you can't do that because it was already made. I asked to speak direct with the Mgr and he didn't come out. Another employee came out and the the girl that was helping me said can you help her (me). I explained to him what happened and he called for the dude who are my pizza. He said we just need to cancel this order and ring her up for what she ordered and she can take the other pizza! The dude who made my pizza was the Mgr and said well I guess so but that isn't what I made.
