Hello Pho — Restaurant in Concord

Egg rolls had a great crispy texture. Dad got the Pho Tai which I didn't try. Mom got the beef stew. The tallow added a great smooth richness to the broth, though a bit too sweet (blaming the carrot and possibly sugar). My bún bò hué tasted too bland; not only the welcomed lack of salt compared to most over salted places, but lack of explicitly stated spice and lemongrass.

Expect aloof service, and lack of table dispenser napkins standard with pho shops.

We welcomed the surprise [preserved fish?] chili paste in the cylindrical container.

Overall a passable ordinary pho experience for a rainy quiet day.

Some off menu options: Mom and dad asked for wide rice noodles (half understood as "hoa fun" in Cantonese) for both of their bowls, and boiled bean sprouts. We only had a single plate of basil, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime among the 3 of us, so I had to request the shredded cabbage traditional with my bowl.

Manager, please consider a new more flavorful broth recipe for the bún bò hué. Reply and I will consider coming back and...

We both saw this restaurant while driving home one day. We both agreed and made a mental note that we will eat there one day. We finally did eat here, the lady at the front was very nice and brought us lemon water. We decided to get spring rolls that comes with peanut sauce... this peanut sauce was beyond flavorful sweet with salty undertones that blanketed each dip of the roll. Afterwards, the Pho with the broth brough such an embracing warmth of authenticity and freshness. Furthermore, they did not short in the meats or noodles of the meal which is always a plus and will be another reason why we plan to be reoccurring customers here...

This is my family's absolute favorite pho restaurant. Great menu options, great flavor, very good portion sizes that are worth your money. I recommend the Vegetarian noodle soup! The staff are very friendly and considerate. I have been here before and even now with the new ownership they have maintained great quality! This was the first restaurant I ever had pho at and nothing else has been able to compare since then. Definitely a place to try!
