Imagine a bright sunny Saturday morning. You're just rolling out of bed and immediately get a 911 call from your better half needing something at work that was left home. Never happened...it will.

Lucky me! I was off to the rescue. Upon arrival , I was immediately greeted by smiling staff and a packed house of similarly happy diners. I was seated staring at a HD TV playing NFL LIVE and flanked by attractive gay couple left/straight couple right...just an observation. (Did someone tell them I was coming? ....and there was great food too. THE END.

No, really. I scanned the vast menu and quickly decided on my Litmus test. #1 - Biscuits & gravy, an egg, sausage patty. Large portion, quick turnaround, and fresh made ingredients. Excellent "surprise" breakfast at what obviously is a neighborhood favorite with a mixer of people, many also notedly addressed by name. Awesome...many "regulars" equals great inexpensive food breakfast, lunch and dinner. I can't imagine you NOT finding something you will enjoy on the SIX page full menu PLUS a "Daily Specials" one just in case you feel like "narrowing your choices".

One note, I came via private limo (ok, drove myself) Montgomery Avenue traveling east and almost missed this "jewel". However, I did notice when leaving that it is CLEARLY visible from all other directions. When you see "Mel's & Sons' Muffler", prepare to take the very next right-hand turn. If you miss it, you get a car detail. HEY....get my car detailed while I enjoy a meal. Awesome place,...

Staff is nice the food I believe is made from frozen inexpensive produce . what I ordered it wasn't bad. The table next to me ordered chicken of some kind - I didn't know the people but I heard them saying its frozen in the middle referring about the chicken . the waitress stopped by she tried to accommodate the clients witch was nice she offered to take the frozen chicken and cook it some more witch I think is out of balance .if something came out of the kitchen it shouldn't go back to be cooked some more . if it was touched or tried already it doesn't have no reason to be put back in a pan ..it threw me off. Besides that my order was ok. Long ago I ordered pork chops the portion was generous then a friend asked that we eat again there and we had burgers- quite greasy .portions are generous I just have doubds about the quality of the produce . it doesn't seem that the place is aired out well I left with aroma as i was cooking in the kitchen 😂prices are affordable parking...

I haven't been yet but I was reading the reviews and they're all real which is rare. And there was only one negative review and it was on a busy day the other one was 3 years ago when I think they had different owners in this place is right down the street from me so I can't wait to try it I'm going to start off giving it at 5:00 and then I'm going to try it and see if I can do better get some pictures and stuff but so far all of the reviews are definitely real and that's rare like I said these days. So I'm anxious to try it and you go try it today well not today the football is on. Definitely tomorrow. Look forward to meeting the new owners. I've been reviewing for a long time and I've never seen hardly any businesses where all the reviews look absolutely honest and true. Matter of fact I usually flag the ones that I think are fake on other places. So refreshing to see this. This is...

Local business with diner type menu with specialties including 36 types of mimosas (on a separate menu), multiple types of eggs benefit and many other specialties. Ordered the Crab Benedict, Country Benedict, side of bacon, coffee and mimosa flight. Benedics were delicious (good gravy) and eggs were cooked just right; both the country potatoes and hash browns were as expected - nothing special. Bacon was disappointing - low quality and poor taste. Coffee comes with Land O Lakes half and half in those little o5 oz shelf stable containers - meh. Mimosa flight (3 qty in shot glasses) was interesting - maybe a little overpriced - approx 4.5 oz total for $12. All of the seating seemed to be taped with electrical tape - They need to replace the seats in their booths

This place looks like a real dive from the outside and really doesn't stray too far on the inside either but wow, is the food tasty and super reasonably priced! It's been a long time since I've been served food that's piping hot - my very generously sized chicken fried steak came out steaming hot with the best gravy I think I've ever had. I'm talking about a PROPERLY smothered creamy sausage gravy. 🤤 It also came with crispy hashbrowns and perfect eggs. No frivolous toast side here, the big portions are enough as is. 1800 also seems family owned and run, you can tell they put a lot of effort into their food and their customer service. Don't judge a book by its cover! I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving chicken fried steak.

Place was solid. Recommend. Pancakes we light and fluffy with a bit of chewiness to them. My wife did not like this, but I did. She said it reminds her of mochiko. Chicken fried steak portion size was excellent and the flavor was tasty. The beef was tender enough to not require a knife or any effort to break it apart. Bacon was limp and thin cut. Not too great. Prices were very reasonable in today's crazy inflationary environment. I overheard someone say that him and his family were the new owners to a customer that was asking. Take that for what it is if you've been here in the past (I hadn't)
