There is a large runing track and the remains of what I assume was planned to be a field but, the ground is very soft and uneven… not recommended for actual playing of sports….
There is a water park (which I have hardly ever found working/on)…
There are ALWAYS people drinking and/or smoking here (always men).
There are usually vendors trying to sell to the elementary kids from the school next to the park.
Parking is pretty much a nightmare… I have not (ever) seen a parks and recreations worker.
The 2 times I went; once alone and once with my child I felt uneasy and unsafe, have not returned since. I ride my bike past the park fairly often but, no more...
Read moreThe neighborhood is a little rough, but the park is usually full of large gatherings having barbecues and parties. It’s always a good atmosphere. I’ve never had issues when coming here with my daughter when she was five. She enjoyed the Spray Park, which was really cool and a lot of fun. It’s all free and runs all summer long. There are multiple water features and spray guns and a few waterfalls. It’s a great spot to cool off on a hot day and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Read moreGreat park! The spray park has three separate sections for younger, older and a bit rowdier older children. I've never seen one do that before but it's a great idea! The play place with the yellow swings is really nice, though it has bark on the ground that constantly gets stuck in my flip flops and stabs me. The other park is old, the ground is coming apart. For a few weeks, there was a pile of dirty rotting diapers under part of the stairs. Plus, it's right next to a dumpster, so it often smells awful. It's not so great...
