Their recent FB reviews were so bad, they removed the Review section from their page. Shady stuff. You can serve over-priced garbage, but don't get mad at the public when they call it garbage. The review: We decided to stop at Johnny Rogers after reading good reviews. The place is clean, and the staff was pleasant, but I obviously didn’t stop to make friends, I went there for food and that was my mistake. When I arrived, I was surrounded by signs hanging all over the place advertising “Award Winning Burger,” “Voted best Burger,” etc. I think Johnny Rogers just built up my expectations too much. I was expecting a good burger and what I got would come in a close second to any local high school cafeteria. I was shocked when they brought me out a luke-warm pressed patty burger that they heated up from the local grocery store freezer section. At $10+ dollars, this was the most expensive high-school football game concession stand burger that I have ever eat, and honestly, I would have been embarrassed to send it out to a customer. I really don’t know exactly which county jail cafeterias that they were competing against in all those contest that they’ve won, but if this thing was declared a winner, I’d hate to see the burger that lost. After receiving this below-average sliced meat log, I started to think that maybe the “voted best burger” was just some promotion where their family and friends voted for the only contestant in the contest; Johnny Rogers. If you are in the area and all the local schools are closed, or you are feeling nostalgic and want to relive your middle school or jailhouse, then stop on in at Johnny’s and ask for their frozen sliced meat log burger. It’s award winning. It will be the most expensive -mid burger that you can find. Otherwise, I’d probably just opt for a microwave freezer burger from the 7-11. The quality would be the same, or slightly better, for a fraction of the price. PS: Don’t believe those photos of burgers that look like real burgers. You ain’t getting that. That’s just a bait and switch. AND TAKE DOWN ALL THOSE SIGNS SAYING “AWARD WINNING” BECAUSE THE ONLY AWARD THAT YOU’VE WON WITH THIS GARBAGE IS “MOST EXPENSIVE BELOW AVERAGE BURGER.” I’d also give you “WE LIE TO OUR CUSTOMERS” Award.

1st time visitors today. You order at the counter and pay. Then they bring the food to your table. I had the large BBQ plate. BBQ was delicious. I got baked beans and white coleslaw as sides, both excellent. They don't have hushpuppies, so I added a fry as an extra side. I enjoy something crunchy with my BBQ, hence, my inquire about hushpuppies. It did come with a slice of white bread, 2 raw onion rings and 2 sliced pickles. I liked the pickles. Years ago the Old Hickory House BBQ, see picture, on N Tryon in Charlotte added pickles to the plate. So, today, I got to reminisce. (The Old Hickory House also served a "to die for" Brunswick Stew... I found the recipe and plan on making some.) Back to lunch today. My wife got a BBQ sandwich and sweet potato fries. The BBQ and coleslaw were quite moist, so she gave up on eating it as a sandwich (it got soggy) and ate the remaining with a fork. She, too, enjoyed the food. We both got iced-tea. The tea was good. In today's cost, it will be about what I anticipated. We'll come again as they have other menu items we'd like to try. There were 3 firemen beside us, all eating a chicken wrap. Must have been good as they gobbled them up. I'd recommend.

Delicious! Was looking for a locally owned non-chain restaurant off the Concord Mills exit. A feat much harder than you'd think. Found this treasure. Burgers were fresh and awesome, sides we're great and the Fat Boyz homemade barbeque sauce was incredible. Not a syrupy sweet mess but a great balance of spice and acidity from the vinegar. (Mouth is drooling over just the thought of it now.) None in my family actually had the BBQ but thats the plan next time we're in the area at Concord Mills, Great Wolf Lodge or the Race track. Perfect alternative to the overpriced Sysco frozen food of Great Wolf Lodge by the way. I'd strongly recommend someone running just a couple miles down the road from GWL to pick up lunch for the family carry-out next time you're at the Lodge. Service was great too. Attentive and you can see they care deeply about their customers as a growing small business. Bravo!! (2022 update:. Took a large group to Johnny Roger's for lunch before some go karting at the outlet. Still great. Seating is tricky with a larger group but there were picnic benches outside that helped. Also noticed a 100.0% on the sanitation rating. Nice.)

Upon entry, we were greeted promptly. However, that changed quickly. This was our first time here and apparently, we didn't order as fast as the cashier would have liked us to, even though there were no customers waiting behind us yet. We made our order and then went to take a seat. Other customers that came in after us were given their food before us. I went up to check on our order and half of it was just sitting there. The cashier that took our order said that they would bring it back in a minute, so I went to sit back down. Ten minutes later, we still hadn't received our food. So, my husband went up to check. Again, half of our food is still just sitting there and another guy told my husband that they would bring it back to us. After another ten minutes, I had enough. I went up and told them that I wanted a refund. A lady asked me why. I said that my food had been sitting up there, undelivered, and it was getting cold. She told me that they had accidentally given our order to someone else and they needed to correct the other person's order first, who came in after us. There was no apology or anything. I stated again that I just wanted a refund, and that I would only pay for the drinks. She refunded the food only. I looked at my receipt and was missing approximately ten dollars, for two drinks. I asked her why there was a difference, and she said that she didn't refund the tip. I told her that I was not leaving a tip, we hadn't received any service to warrant a tip, so then she refunded that as well. Still no apology at all for the...

Update June 30.

Man. sad to say burger was not up to par today. Cane in around 445 only one other person before me Ordered a Double and Mac n cheese. The burger meat itself is very good. The person who made my burger not so much. As a cook for a man that had made Thousands upon Thousands of burgers and steaks I'm picky when it comes to burgers. That's why I loved this place. The person who made my burger today lacked skull and technique. My patty was under seasoned overcooked and dry. The mac n cheese was super bland and not cheesy. The rue was fine but no flavor. I personally dont care for corksrew pasta either. Just me. Mac needs help though. really makes me kinda sad. Whoever was cooking a year ago 6 months ago get them back. That beautiful beef was not treated right today. I'm not around often. might try again. Idk. I'm 😔.

Small place tucked off the road. friendly staff. Ordered a burger all the way with bacon and a side of Mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was ok. the burger though. I got a single and I should have got a double. But everything about my burger was amazing. slaw perfectly sweet, chilli perfectly salty bacon perfectly bacony. The king of the show was the beef. i dont know what it is but i want that beed in my mouth all the time now. Best burger beef Ive...
