Absolutely LOvE the food here! Been eating with them for years at the former location as well as the current location. Usually get take out lunch orders. So good! Favorite dishes for me are: Cashew Chicken/ Pad Med Ma Muang and Pad Thai. I like spicy so I always ask for the heat at 5. 🌶 I have eaten a variety of the soups as well and they are great. A fun dish to get is pineapple fried rice(not the best photo, but will include one of this dish). Honestly not sure if they call them spring rolls or what, but their rolls and sauce that come with most meals round it out well. The sauce is house made from what I believe and is so yummy. Kate is always helpful with any questions you may have about the food too. Not too long ago I was in downtown Charlotte and wanted to try a different Thai place. I read reviews and decided on one that I could pass on my way home that had been suggested in a listing. People reviewed it well. When I took a bite of my food I was disappointed and felt like I shouldn’t have cheated on my faithful Mai Thai II as the food at the new place was bland and didn’t seem like the fresh ingredients I am used too. End point, don’t let the bigger city call you away and miss out on a great restaurant in the shadows!

Decided to try this place out, wanting some Thai food. It was a great choice. It was only one gentleman working register and being a waiter. He really had his hands full, but he handled it very well when he came to take our order one person entered they were coming for a pick up. The phone rang at the same time he said to us excuse me went answer the phone quickly then he told the person who was standing there waiting for a pick up order. Please hold one moment while I finish this table he proceeded back to us and took our order.. I was very gracious that he went in such a great sequence. He then proceeded to give the person their to go order but making sure he placed our order to the kitchen first so I would give him a 10 out of 10 for service and when we left, he thanked us for coming. He was very personable and the food was very good. I have the pineapple rice. My husband had a sesame chicken. I enjoyed my food very much and when I am in this area, I would not hesitate to come back.

I love the calm ambience, the atmosphere, and friendly staff. This is the kind of restaurant where you can allow yourself to power down your mind from stress and find yourself to be at peace while you enjoy the meals eating slowly. I got the Pad Thai (seafood) along with Potstickers (steamed), and of all the Thai food I've eaten, this is by far among the very best. This restaurant is perfect for someone who is a college student who just took an exam. I'd recommend you dine in and enjoy the customer experience, and not takeout.

After reading good reviews of this place I gave it try. Most of the reviews were of the place before it moved to its new location near Concord Mills. This was my first time trying Mai Thai. I called in an order of Kra pow chicken (basil chicken). The portion was close to something I'd expect at a Taste of Charlotte sample. There was no basil in the dish so I wasn't sure if it even was the right meal but the lady who handed to me assured there was basil in the dish and that it must have been on the bottom. When I got to my office there was no basil in the dish and it was extremely spicy. I like spicy food (I eat hot peppers as a snack sometimes) and I know Thai food is spicy. However, I requested a medium (level 3) spice level. This was so hot my eyes watered on first bite and the only flavor I could taste in this dish was the pepper seeds. Also the summer roll was dry/hard = overcooked.

I have tried about 5 other Thai places in/around Charlotte area (Charlotte, Concord, and Matthews) and for the Krapow chicken Thai House University...
