Rooms need to be updated, that's goes for tvs to fridge and cabinets the whole room, as far as staff always very friendly most of them anyhow. Had people come in my room steal all the cash I had to my name day before Christmas I have asked for the security cameras to be viewed and no one has got back with me also my clothes were stolen from the laundry room and upon looking further I have never had a lock on my window, which is complete negligence on the hotel itself and the employees not are there any kind of cameras to survey outside so all points of entry are not properly secured doors are left open constantly meaning anyone can come and go as they please again negligence so I will be withholding any payments and more than likely suing them as a company complete negligence and lack of care for you well being as well as being charged different rates by everyone and that is totally unacceptable Jessica and Mrs Debbie are absolute pleasures and I feel sorry for them. Jessica should honestly be running the hotel I believe she could actually clean it up and invest into updated rooms the location is prime I don't believe you can actually get a better one just need to invest into the business it's time I went back yesterday for my belongings and the manager who is dirty, tells me I had until the.31st well its the 28th so where is my belongings she then recanted saying that she never said the 31st when on fact she had just previously stated saying she threw them away that corporate ordered her to, for one you Do not throw these types of clothes away I'm talking thousands of dollars stolen by her and I'm gonna prove it I've gotten TOLD LIES BY THIS MANAGER AND IM TELLING You GUYS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD don't just don't, I have no clothing none of my boots half my shoes none of my power tools my Colman grill, all of my dead sisters belongings her bags ,clothes, I literally was in tears but I'm glad the same cops were involved they remembered the amount of belongings I had no Bluetooths, none of my Michael kors dress pants shirts belts, t shirts I had t have a least 40 pairs of Michael kors boxers at ⁴⁹ dollars per set that's 500 right there multiple suits, jackets, so many jeans t shirts Nike clothing and shoes it's absolutely disheartening and I'm suing for 10000 dollars and I still will be taking a huge loss I tell her this and she states oh it wasn't 10000 dollars worth I wear 60 dollar shitr and had enough clothes to wear different outfit for a good 3 probably 4 months it's well over 10000 and she Beyer lose her job when I prove this she's dirty people keep away it's not worth the 10 15 dollars you get off go to a nicer room and hotel if not find out the hard way but...

This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel. I did not feel safe sleeping in this room and seriously considered sleeping in the car instead. In the middle of a pandemic, we were forced to travel because of a death in the family.

We arrived after their front desk was closed for the evening and the signs on their desk say to use the courtesy phone to dial zero. There is no courtesy phone though, there's just a hole in the wall where it used to be. The very nice lady who did help us check in told us that they were having trouble finding one to replace it with because someone had ripped it out of the wall. It had apparently been like this for a while because the plate on the wall where it had been was covered in dust as well.

The cleanliness is appalling. You could see the stains on the mattress through the one layer of sheets that was on the bed with no kind of mattress pad or anything like that. We ended up sleeping on top of the blankets. There were also no pillow covers under the one layer of pillow cases, and the pillows in the room were also stained but I did not remember to take pictures of that.

The used soap was in the shower when we got there. The pool is closed right now, but with that color of green I am sure that it's not even safe to be around and probably is breeding bugs. The room was in complete disrepair, including the cabinets falling apart, the electric outlet falling out of the wall, the cords for the phone being everywhere and the freezer being covered in ice that other people had spilled things in. We blew a breaker in the room three times using the television and the light in the bathroom at the same time.

It was supposed to be a room with a kitchenette, but the only piece of dishware in the room was the top to a random food processor. There were no small cups like you expect to see in a hotel room or an ice bucket.

I guess it could have been worse. There could have been a dead body in the room and we didn't see any bugs or rodents while we were there. We did not hear any screaming through the walls. There was no one doing drugs in the hallway. Our car was still there in the morning right where we had left it. The fact is that these are the positives of our visit there should probably be a warning to anyone else. But the level of neglect of this hotel is unacceptable and it makes me not trust any other hotel that is associated with that...

When I arrived here with my two year old there was screaming back and forth between the lady behind the desk and a man. From what i gathered he renewed with his points like he has done in the past and that was not good enough for her she proceeded to check him out. I started to turn around then but again I have a two year old with me and we drove 12 hours. So I stayed. Fast forward two days later I asked for clean towels and they told me bring the dirty ones. I brought two big towels, one small hand towel, and the bathroom floor towel. She had an attitude from the very beginning her whole energy is way to negative. I put my towels on the floor and she said “I only have big towels “ I said ok that’s fine. She said “ you need to pick them up and take them back because whatever you give me I have to give back. I said “its ok I’ll take the two towels and get the other ones later” she continues to hold the towels and tell me she is not giving me the towels until I pick the other ones up off the ground. I proceeded to tell her I don’t need the other towels and asked her to please stop and let her know that I seen her arguing with another guest prior to this and she should change her attitude. She refused to give me the towels so I took them out of her hand. I have a toddler who needs a bath and she refused to give me clean towels this is absurd. Then she says I am being aggressive because I took the towels, lady I have a two year old on my hip stop the nonsense. THE OWNER SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO ADDRESS HER AND HER ATTITUDE THE REVIEWS ARE ALREADY NOT GREAT. I don’t deserve to be denied towels because I didn’t want to pick UP DIRTY TOWELS OFF THE FLOOR. If I said it’s ok I don’t need the smaller towels why would you still deny me towels???? This is so crazy I have never in all my 36 years been treated like this by hotel staff. I am not a problematic guest and I go to work at 12 am. I just wanted to give my baby a bath and go to bed! You don’t own me. I paid to be here. It was giving very much racism at its finest! I’m so not happy right now. Like I have a toddler with me. I gave her four towels and was willing to take two back but that was not good enough for her!!!!!! I had to do what she said in order to receive towels to bathe my child. Do you get where I am going with this???? I’m in disbelief right now! But went to call someone and make like I’m the problem. No she is...

Our visit to Hometown Suites was an experience, and not a pleasant one. First, I will start with the good things about this hotel. It was inexpensive, close to where we needed to be and the front desk staff was very pleasant. Now onto the rest of our experience. It started with an empty police car partially blocking the entrance into the hotel (this is relevant later), about a dozen people were loitering around the parking lot and when checking in for our reservation at 3:30pm we were told they had no clue if there were any clean rooms but please return in an hour. After a 9 hour drive from Florida, we wanted to relax but we wanted around the mall and returned later. The hotel was obviously outdated and in disrepair with a moldy musk odor throughout. Upon entering our room, you can smell the odor even more so with signs of mold on bathroom walls, cigarette burns in the linens and 3 live roaches running around their kitchenette area. Immediately requested a different room and hoped they would ensure better standards. Our new room actually had dead roaches still on the wall where someone else smashed them, hair on walls of the shower, the floors were sticky to the point of our socks were brown (I was not going to be barefoot at this location, more cigarette burns on sheets, strange liquid that was dried on all the walls, more live roaches, bathroom door handle broken, AC barely was cool and the fridge was unplugged. We actually killed so many roaches we should have been paid as an exterminator. Exhausted and lack of any other hotel rooms available (we checked and all booked elsewhere) we started the night. About 1:30am the fire alarm was triggered and we all evacuated. The firetruck was unable to get to the hotel due to that empty police car which helped make it a longer night. We left a day early, not wanting to risk any health issues but no manager is at this location to discuss the issues. And provide a refund for the 1 day we did not stay. We called corporate, the GM, even emailed. All we received was thank you for the information provided and how to see us again in the future. This is a warning for all to consider this location. The price and convenience of the location is not worth the further issues you will encounter here, find someplace else please

I have traveled many places over the years. I've stayed in hotels that weren't so expensive but still an amazing stay. I travel to the Carolinas often and must say this was the first time I was absolutely totally disappointed with this trip. First off it was a family emergency so it was very last minute which didn't allow me to do my due diligence in finding a place to stay. 1. We had to get a second room because the water didn't get hot in the first room where the maintenance called himself fixing it then lying to us that it was now warm. Let me back up a little, we were able to check in early, I saw a sign that indicated a deposit I asked about the deposit was told it was $50. We left to go eat check out our family emergency, and return to the hotel. When we got back we were told about an early check-in fee. This had never been mentioned to us and the little guy behind the desk just outright lied to our face saying that he told us when in fact he never said a word about an early check-in fee. Had he said it, it would not have been a problem. That angered me. That fee was ultimately waived and we moved forward. Back to the rooms and the ROACHES... The place wreaked of marijuana inside and out, the lobby was disgusting, no coffee as indicated, even if they had it, I wouldn't have drank it. The people that stay there long term were very questionable, very. I could go on but this would be a 4 page note. Even our checkout was about to go left. I'll just add some pics to help. So all I can say is STAY IN A CITY DUMP BEFORE YOU STAY HERE. Hard earn money spent for trash. Never again!! This review will be on EVERY forum I can think of. Oh, the location is great.
